The School of Capoeira Angola Flor da Gente was founded in 1996 by Mestre Mano, in the Catete neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Our organization is dedicated to promoting Capoeira Angola as a rich expression of art, combat, and culture. With deep roots in Afro-Brazilian tradition, we strive to preserve and share the philosophy, history, and movements of Capoeira Angola through classes, events, and cultural initiatives.
Today, classes in Melbourne, Australia, are led by Treinel Gingadinha and supervised by Mestre Mano, continuing the school’s mission to share and strengthen the legacy of Capoeira Angola across borders and generations.
