Well said!!!! Couldn't agree more!!

There is room for ALL of us to succeed 🙌🏽

This is something I feel very strongly about, especially being part of the horse industry.

Growing up coming from a non horsey family, you learn very quickly just how difficult and, at times, unwelcoming this industry can be. You start from scratch. You make mistakes, you ask questions, you work hard, and you learn some pretty tough lessons along the way, And unfortunately, you also learn that not everyone wants to see you succeed.

But something I’ve never understood is why does someone else’s success have to be seen as a threat to your own? Just because we work in the same industry, offer the same services, or compete in the same disciplines, doesn’t automatically make us enemies!

Someone else’s business doing well doesn’t mean yours is doing poorly.

You can be proud of what you’ve built while still applauding what someone else is building. ❤️

The horse industry can be an incredibly tough place. Behind every business, every horse and every achievement is someone working long hours, making sacrifices, dealing with setbacks and trying to make something of themselves.

We all know how hard this industry can be, so why make it harder for each other?

Recommend another trainer when you can’t take on a horse, Congratulate your competitors, Give credit where it’s due, Help someone who’s just starting out, And most importantly, remember what it felt like when you were the one trying to find your feet.

You don’t have to be friends with everyone, agree with everyone’s methods or run your businesses the same way to show each other respect.

I know firsthand what it’s like to feel like an outsider in an industry you love so much, And if there’s one thing I hope to achieve along the way, it’s to make other people feel a little more welcome than I sometimes felt.

Because at the end of the day, we all started somewhere. Nobody knows everything, nobody is better than everyone else, and there will always be something we can learn from one another.

Success isn’t about being the only one at the top. It’s about being confident enough in what you’ve built that you don’t feel threatened by someone else building something great too.

Let’s make the horse industry a place where people feel encouraged to have a go, not intimidated to even start! 🤎

🌧️ HAY STORAGE IN OUR SUBTROPICAL CLIMATE 🌿

If you're a horse owner on the Sunshine Coast, you'll know that our wet weather, humidity and summer storms can make keeping hay in good condition a challenge!

A few simple things can make a big difference:

🐴 Keep it raised — use pallets to help prevent ground moisture creeping into your hay.

🌬️ Allow airflow — protect your hay from rain while ensuring the storage area is well ventilated.

🔍 Inspect regularly — look for damp patches, musty smells, discolouration and mould.

🚫 Don't feed mouldy or musty hay. Mould and dust can pose serious risks to your horse's respiratory and digestive health.

Good forage management starts before the hay even reaches the horse. 💚

🐴💙 A little glimpse of today's ABC Equine Sunday Funday!

A morning filled with horses, learning, trying new things and building better partnerships.

I love creating opportunities for riders to step outside their usual routine, develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy spending time with their horses in a supportive, no-pressure environment.

It's not about being perfect. It's about learning to listen, communicate and grow together. ✨

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely morning! Especially while its rainy and chilly outside!!

🌟MUSTER THIS SUNDAY 20th SEPTEMBER
WITH GUEST INSTRUCTOR HELEN FROM ABC Equine 🌟

Cooroy Horse and Pony Club will be holding a muster at our grounds this Sunday 20th September, with guest instructor Helen Warburton doing some fun obstacles.
Setup from 8.30am for a 9am start.

CHPC members, please bring $10.00 for your muster fee and a small plate for morning tea. Riders from other clubs are very welcome to join us as long as we are aware ($20 muster fee and bring a plate)

Please comment below to let us know if you are coming, it is essential we know numbers to cater for everyone.

I don't usually open bookings up this early, but August is full and I am away most of October and half of November with people wanting to jump into my September schedule.

So.... if you need an energetic alignment session for your horse/s and one of these dates grabs your attention, please book or you may be looking at mid-November.

Info you might like to know:

▶️ I can only do 2 sessions in a day so, 1 horse, 2 horses or 1 horse/1 person.

▶️ Sessions start 7.30-8am.

▶️ Horses take anywhere from 60-90 minutes depending on what they need and will accept. Humans are 75 minutes.

▶️ I don't travel for humans alone, these are only done if you have a horse and will be done at the same location as your horse. That is, in their stable or out of the elements in that area.

▶️ There may be travel charges, depending on your location.

🐴 What a fantastic day at our Pole & Jump Clinic at beautiful Kandanga Stables! 💙

We had three wonderful groups, who tackled poles right through to jumping. It was so rewarding to watch everyone's confidence and skills grow throughout the sessions.

A special shout-out to the young and inexperienced horses, who handled the new environment and challenge of being in a group so well. They all gave it their best, and I'm so proud of how they improved. Great work!!!

There were plenty of laughs along the way, and everyone's navigation around the courses was exemplary... especially one particular client who usually couldn't find their way to save themselves! 🤣 (You know who you are! 😜)

A huge thank you to our wonderful hosts at Kandanga Stables for sharing your beautiful venue with us. It's always a pleasure.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fun, supportive day. Big shout out to the fence-sitters who were the best cheer team and socials content creators!! Thanks all, what a day! 💙🐴
