Last Monday, one of our beautiful senior students and student teachers, Madison Cole, received some life-changing news. Madison has been diagnosed with blood cancer, leukemia.

Madison is a much-loved student, dedicated dancer, and a very special part of our SG Dance family. She was one of the very first students to walk through our doors when we opened in 2021, and over the years we have watched her grow into such a beautiful young woman.

Madi has achieved so much during her time at SG Dance, including receiving our highest award, “Student of the Year,” in 2024. She is kind, caring, loving, and endlessly supportive of everyone around her. This year, Madison has also been helping as one of my student teachers every Wednesday with our junior students, and they are all missing her dearly already.

Madison is about to face the biggest fight of her life, and I want her and her family to know that the entire SG Dance community is standing beside them every step of the way.

One of our dance mums, Monique, has kindly set up a GoFundMe page for Madison and her family to help ease some of the financial stress during this incredibly difficult time. If you are in a position to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world and would be so deeply appreciated.

Last night my team & I were lucky enough to attend the Blacktown Local Business Awards as a finalist for our amazing studio, SG Dance. 💖🖤🤍

Although we didn’t take home the win this year, I couldn’t be prouder to have been recognised alongside so many incredible businesses in our community. Being a finalist is already such a huge achievement and I’m so grateful for the journey we are on.

I have so much love and appreciation for my beautiful staff Miss Dannielle, Miss Bronte & Miss Drew. Thank you all for everything you do for our students and studio each and every week. A special thank you to Miss Drew for holding down the fort and teaching classes last night while we attended the awards evening. 🫶🏻

We are so incredibly lucky to have the supportive, kind and loyal dance family that we do. Thank you all so much for your ongoing support, encouragement and belief in SG Dance.

Big things are coming… and I truly cannot wait to see where the future takes us. ✨🤍🥰✨
