💛 We are excited to announce our special guest next week is..... Karen from

"I'm Karen, a registered counsellor based in Camden. I have a focus on perinatal support walking alongside people through the perinatal stage which covers from trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth, and the new parent stage, through to your child’s first year. 🔈 ATTENTION LOCAL BUSINESSES 🔈

We’re inviting local businesses to partner with us and make a meaningful difference in the lives of local mums.

Whether it’s sponsoring morning tea, contributing toward our mothers group space, or helping make our sessions more accessible to mums in our community, your partnership helps create opportunities for connection and support.

In return, your business will be recognised across our community platforms and events, giving you the opportunity to connect with an engaged audience of local mums and families who value businesses that genuinely support their community.

We have a range of sponsorship opportunities available and would love to collaborate in a way that feels aligned for your business.

If you're interested in supporting local mums, we'd love to hear from you - just send us a DM 💜

Who else loves the warmer weather? ☀🌺

29/08/2026

Across the world, the last Sunday of August is recognised as International Bereaved Fathers Day 💙

This day honours all dads who have endured the unimaginable heartbreak of losing a baby or child. It offers space to grieve, to heal, and to remember the little lives who never had the chance to grow into all they might have been.

Should feet be IN or OUT?

Foot placement is one of the simplest ways to improve comfort and safety in babywearing. Although images online often show babies with their legs tucked inside various carriers, current best practice recommends feet out for the majority of infants.

Why this matters:

💛 Plantar reflex stimulation: Pressure on the soles can activate newborn reflexes that lead to pushing, discomfort, and unsettled behaviour.

💛 Joint protection: Tiny ankle joints are still forming, and keeping feet out avoids unnecessary pressure on those delicate structures.

Nearly every carrier style allows for feet out positioning. The only time feet in is recommended is when a carrier is specifically designed to be used with a newborn insert - always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for those older models.

If you’d like personalised guidance on carrier fit or newborn positioning, you’re welcome to book a babywearing consultation. I’d love to support you and your little one 👶

I need your help please 🙏

We have been selected as one of the Small Businesses to feature in the 2026 I AM CAMDEN campaign!

As part of the campaign, I’ll be having a photography and videography session on Tuesday 1st September from 2pm–3pm, and I’d absolutely love to have as many local mums and bubs involved as possible!

We’ll be doing a little Kangatraining class and Keeping Mum Mothers Group demonstration, so it would be a lovely opportunity to showcase what we do and the community we’ve created.

If you’re available, I’d love for you to come along and be part of it! Mums, bubs and little ones are all welcome.

If you can make it, please comment below or send me a message so I can get an idea of numbers.

I’d really appreciate your help 🫶

** We can accommodate those who wish to not have their child photographed.
