New children's book 'You Two, You Two' by Highlands author explores special bond between siblings When Brooke Hill had her second child, she knew exactly what kind of children's book she was looking for.

The Robertson Book Fair is happening this weekend. You Two, You Two and I will be at Storytime outside Book Nook on Sunday 24th October at 10am, with other wonderful authors like Pam Slattery, Regina Brewster and Prue McDonell. 🌈🐨🐨

Writers and readers to mingle at Robertson Book Fair The event offers the chance to meet writers, a storytime for the kids, and a chance to chat with the Rainforest Guide creators and regenerative farming experts.

These are just some of the beautiful adventures that the siblings inside this book get up to. And to say that this book resonates with me is an understatement! It’s so deeply relevant to my two young boys that I could have written it myself (but didn’t, because I’m not that clever lol). Swipe across to see some pics of my two enjoying their days together.⁠⁠

I love the way this book celebrates the bond of siblings in the most playful and joyous way. Highlighting that the connection of a sibling is unlike any other, while a sibling can be a bestie for life, there will, inevitably, be those “rumble, tumble bang and crash moments” too!⁠⁠

The pictures are bright and fun, making them very engaging for the youngest eyes and minds, and the rhyming languages creates a lovely rhythm and predictability in the text. This style is particularly good for our nearly 5 year old because he is able to predict the words that are coming up next and he feels a deep sense of accomplishment when we read together. This in turn kicks up his motivation!⁠⁠

I love this book as a gift to a parent who is having their 2nd or more child. A perfect keepsake to celebrate the new sibling dynamic!⁠⁠
