Post EGM we will be celebrating with a pub crawl - route TBA.

PHYSOC will be running a Latex workshop on Monday of week 4 (09/03/2026).

Time: 3-4:30pm @ G59/60 OMB.

These workshops are an amazing opportunity to ask any questions you have about Latex or just to learn from scratch.

Latex is an amazing and free typesetting system that you will find highly beneficial for your lab reports, mathematics assignments and much more!

On Wednesday March 4th beginning at 5pm, the Physics society will be hosting an astrophysics talk night.

You will hear from 3 speakers, who will present their research . The speakers will be:

Sarah Brough - Observing the faint Universe with Rubin Observatory’s Legacy Survey of Space and Time

Caroline Foster-Guanzon - My foray into figuring out why galaxies slow down as they age

Jesse van de Sande - The hamburger versus the pizza conundrum: which viewing angle best describes the ingredients of galaxies

This event is open to all students

PHYSOC will be hosting a super awesome games night during Friday of week 2! (27/02/2026)

Location : Physics Theatre OMB

There will be a Nintendo switch, plenty of board games to go around and of course our awesome Physoc team to chat to!

I’d like to also make a quick note that food and drinks are not allowed inside of physics theatre so please try to not bring any inside! Cheers!
