Diet culture would have you believe that there is only one body ideal and that is the thin body.
Each personβs genetic inheritance influences their body shape, weight, size and bone structure - this includes those in small and larger bodies.
Your body can be healthy across a variety of weights and measurement tools like the BMI have been bastardised by industries interested in profit first which only serve to marginalise those that exist in larger bodies.
π«ΆπΎ There is no right way to have a body. π«ΆπΎ
Body diversity acknowledges there are many ways to have a body and no one way is better than another. ββοΈ
This is crucial for helping women break free from the overwhelming pressure that comes from feeling like their bodies are somehow not good enough as they are.
In fact, building a positive body image can come from a foundation of body diversity and one that seeks to honour the many different shapes and sizes that our bodies represent.

Did you know that:
- 46% of people with larger bodies have changed their behaviour to avoid unwanted attention because of their weight
Can you imagine what it would be constantly having to change the very core of who you are out of fear of being seen and heard in your body?
Discrimination against people in larger bodies makes it particularly difficult for them to navigate the world, live full lives and be in their full expression.
With fat phobia and weight bias comes micro-aggressions, prejudice, and everyday sizeism, means people in larger bodies face many social, cultural, economic and political challenges.

ππΌππ½ππΎππΏ Real talk ππ½ππΌππ»π
My business coach gave me a loving bitch slap over the weekend and Iβve never been more grateful.
We discussed how to show up in our business and amplify our voice to connect with our community.
My truth bomb?
That Iβve been keeping it pretty vanilla of late and I've been doing this due to fear of triggering people with my message on such a public scale when in reality, body image is a f*cking triggering topic.
β€οΈβπ©Ή Itβs not easy to admit that there are days when you hate your body, that you shy away from social gatherings because youβre ashamed, and that you feel unworthy or unloveable. β€οΈβπ©Ή
Yet this is the experience for so many women because we live in a society that is flooded with fat phobia and weight stigma. ββ
For so many, being in a larger body is the worst thing that could happen to them and depending on what other identities you hold (sexual orientation, body ability, gender expression, race), the weight of body shame is further amplified.
So no, I wonβt be keeping it vanilla anymore.
Feeling safe, included and a sense of belonging is a privilege that women in larger bodies arenβt always afforded.
This is the fuel that drives me to go deeper with you.
So hereβs hoping that I can trigger some of you (π«’πΌπ½) because it would mean that Iβm cutting through the noise, that Iβm challenging the status quo and giving a voice to women who have felt oppressed, marginalised and judged simply for existing in a larger body.

I went to a dating event and instead of spending the entire night in my head concerned about my body and appearance, how I was being judged by the men I was speaking to OR the other women attending, I was present in every conversation, laughing and generally having a fun night! πͺπΎπͺπΌπͺπΏ
β Paula from 5 years ago wouldn't even have considered attending. β
β She was making life decisions based on the challenging relationship she had with her body, denying herself the opportunity to meet new people and experience new things. β
π Fast forward to the present day, my worth is no longer entangled with my appearance and Iβm no longer prioritising how others view my body.
π I understand that my value and worth as a woman is far beyond the sum of my body parts.
π I have the tools, strategies and practices to rise up against unrealistic beauty/body ideals AND navigate challenging body image days.
ππ½ This is BODY RECLAMATION and why Iβm so passionate about partnering with women who are ready to reclaim the relationship with their bodies.
β¨β¨β¨ Itβs also why Iβm offering TWO SCHOLARSHIPS to my 4-month personalised 1-on-1 coaching experience Body Reclamation (valued at $1497)β¨β¨β¨
