Day 3 for the Women's 30+ team was a rematch against the Brisbane Spectres and the Goats. All cylinders were firing against the Brisbane Spectres and the team got a big win! Angelina is looking for her shot, which helps open up the floor and draw out the defense. The team is working well together and making needed adjustments to our offense, which found Dani open in the paint and in great position for rebounds.
Rematch against the Goats continued to be a challenge; however, we cut the deficit in half! We still have some work to do against this team but we walked away from this game feeling good about the progress we have made. Will there be another rematch in the finals?? We will have to wait and see!

Game 1 on Sunday, the Women's 40+ team welcomed new players Shona and Gloria, as well as returning player Margot to the team. They worked hard on finding the open player and keeping structure and communicating on defense. Although they didn't get the win, they are looking for a rematch later in the week.
Game 1 of the Pan Pacs for our Women's 30+ team on Sunday was a good battle against the reining champs. Game 2 of our back-to-back schedule today was a hard fought game against a team who looks to have played together for a while and who have come away with big winning margins and high scoring against most teams. We kept them close throughout and made a defensive adjustment in the second half which seemed to have a positive effect. Although we lost 29-21, we are proud of our team effort, keeping the oppositions scoring to the lowest so far this tournament and also the closest score margin. Well done Breakers, very proud of you!!
