Meet Mr Gu, Mr Zhou and Mr Wu - The Sticky Wicky A Team! A for Awesome. I LOVED working with this production crew who organized our shipments including the last big one to 700 Aldi stores across UK and Ireland. We had many challenges in this order - deadlines were more than tight, European safety standards were extremely high, factories were routinely closed for inspections, the procurement company was incredibly inefficient and communication was tricky (buyer was in UK, procurement in Germany, production in China, testing in Hong Kong, designer in Peru and me in Sydney).

Thank you to from Eurocentra for believing in our product and helping us to secure the order. In hindsight the undertaking was massive - a bit like David and Goliath. Julian (centre) had our back at every turn and together we had an unforgettable experience. I miss him. He is my forever friend.

My beautiful Uncle Frank left our world this week and now rests in Heaven with other great people I love and miss. We were lucky to have him visit in 2010 – just when we were hatching Sticky Wicky. He said, ‘If you don’t have a dream, you will never have a dream come true.’

Sometimes things just don’t go to plan. Our Nestle order was one of them. We were heartbroken when we inspected the Goods upon arrival and realized they were not up to scratch. We didn’t see any way we could fix things up – we seemed doomed and then the most amazing thing happened….

Our Community came to the rescue. Without a fuss, and put us up in their factory while we hatched a plan. Everyone came to help clean products, fix threads and shorten poles – pack and repack. The support that we felt that weekend was absolutely beautiful and we will be forever grateful. They say it takes a village to raise a child, well it took an entire suburb to raise Sticky Wicky. Thank you Park. You know who you are. Xx

This is a cracked seal from our first container of Sticky Wicky Stuff that arrived into Port Botony. (, I think you might have helped us unload that one – thank you!)

You think you are sorted by the time you’ve created a product and manufactured it but then there is the tricky task of import/export. , was a very patient teacher who shared his expertise and took me through volume estimation to ensure I had calculated landed costs correctly and could finalise pricing. He showed me how to target vessels, book cargo and complete all the many documents. Thanks Brett – I am still in love with Microsoft Excel!

1,000s of Sticky Wicky Keepers and Bats made their way to our friends across the Ditch. Receiving fan mail from New Zealand was such a buzz and a milestone we won’t forget.
