Traditional Muay Thai push kicks move people. The new wave stab kick hurts people.

1️⃣ Stop throwing your teep like a shove.
Big hip push = they reset and come straight back.

2️⃣ The stab kick travels straight through the target.
Minimal hip swing. Just a sharp line straight into the body.

3️⃣ Fix your outside foot position first.
If your lead foot is outside theirs, the stab lands clean up the middle.

4️⃣ Want to make it nastier?
Disguise it like a round kick and stab into the ribs instead.

5️⃣ Land with the toes or ball of the foot.
That’s where the real damage comes from.

A lot of traditional gyms still teach the push teep first.

A lot of fighters like Nico Carrillo now prefer the Japanese inspired stab because it interrupts, damages, and changes the pace immediately.

So which one are you choosing to drill this week…
Traditional push teep or modern stab kick?
