National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.
Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Some of the Diversity Dimensions team visited the Woolworths Head Office this morning to take part in National Reconciliation Week celebrations.
We worked alongside Woolworths team members to help create a beautiful Indigenous artwork under the guidance of our very talented Indigenous team members, Trevor and Jason. Once completed, the artwork will take pride of place in the main entrance at Woolworths Head Office.
Thank you Woolworths for inviting us to share in this wonderful experience, allowing us to channel our creativity to help tell the Woolworths story through beautiful Indigenous artwork.
Trevor and Jason will also be working this week with Woolworths teams at the Mascot DOS and a site at Surry Hills to create more beautiful artwork with the assistance of Woolworths team members.
“This year during National Reconciliation Week, Reconciliation Australia invites all Australians to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, to share that knowledge and help us grow as a nation. “Don’t Keep History A Mystery: Learn. Share. Grow” explores history hidden just beneath the surface, ready and waiting to be uncovered”.

Its great to have our team of Mentors from across the country to join us in Sydney. Two days of skills development will help our mentors deliver an even greater service to their mentees.

A great looking group on their first day of the work experience component of the Woolworths Mascot DOS program in NSW.
DOS stands for Dedicated Online Store. The Mascot store is larger than Woolworths’ average supermarket, with more space in the docks for multiple delivery trucks to pull up at the same time.
Woolworths online grocery shopping app has been downloaded more than three million times, and is currently the most visited online food and liquor site in Australia.
We look forward to outstanding results for our Indigenous jobseekers in this exciting new world of shopping!

Last week our Redfern MTC office had 17 Indigenous Candidates complete 3 days of pre-employment training for Woolworths through
Diversity Dimensions. These candidates will all commence work trials at Woolworths to gain real life experience, expand their resumes, and gain employment.
This is a great example of MTC, CoAct and Diversity Dimensions working in collaboration to move Aboriginal Australians into meaningful careers within a reputable business... Best of luck to all the candidates!

Lee Harper at today's iWork event was so motivational and down to earth, great guy. He chatted with job seekers giving them the confidence to get out there, while telling his own story.
