Lately i have been concentrating on building my supplies. Specifically handle materials.
Casting resin with random things in it.
Here are some pictures of my latest creations.

Afew (almost) finished projects.
One is made from an old file. Stacked wood handle is lots of spacers. Sheath is drying at the moment
One is a general workshop knife. made from stainless. Copper and g10 for scales. (Sheath is waiting a new stain color before i finish it)
And some of you may remember the kukuri. Stock removal from a length of rail. Red resin coated timber for handle. I don't like the red so i think I'll re do it.
all of them still have work to be done on it, but i'm in the home stretch now

Too many projects, not enough time.
i took a step back from a lot of my works in progress this week to make myself something new.
i wanted a pair of light weight butterfly swords, and of course, i didn't want to buy some so here we are.
Still not finished, but not very far from it.
very thin blade, 2mm thick to be exact.
15n20 steel i had lying around will take a very nice shine.
Going to ElectroEtch some designs on the blade once they are all shiny.
handle D-guard is made from beaten cooper
Gives it a nice rustic contrast to the clean lines and shape of the blade.
Handle material is still being decided upon. but i did test blacken the tang to see how it looks. didnt like it so i'll sand it clean.
You can also see a little tool knife i'm working on for the garage too. 440 Stainless Steel. Going handle that one with some Black G10 scales with a gold liner and some copper accents.
Enjoy

So, as promised, here are some new pictures.
so lately i have been absent from here. i keep forgetting to get photos and uploading them. i will fix that.
i have currently moved slightly away from swords and back into knifes. they are just as fun to make, but less time investment.
Axe's too.
Thats mainly because i dont have any current commissions for swords and there isnt much point increasing my own collection (its already 80 strong)
i will get some photos and make sure to update the library for finished projects, and works in progress. watch this space.
right now, I am off to finish my latest Axe, and possibly tinker with a kukuri that has been giving my problems.
Hollow grinds are a nightmare free hand.

So i finished my "Viking" style throwing Axe today.
hardened 1095 steel, tassie oak handle, glued the hell out of the head, hammered a steel wedge in and then pinned it in place.
this head isnt coming off any time soon.
Weighted PERFECTLY for throwing!

so my latest Work In Progress is feeling abit un-loved lately.
had some extra T651 aluminium laying around and ran out of projects that i could work on.
so i made a useless fantasy dagger.
the stain on the scales is still drying, so its hanging from a noose.
just have one more piece to lay on it (over the hole above the handle)
an old Australia 20c piece with custom engraving will make its home there once i finish the engraving. one on each side.

well guys i promised some new photos so heres one half of the pair of deer horn knives i'm doing for myself.
single piece of 1060 high carbon steel. shaped and profiled and paracord wrapped.
i opted to not have a mirror polish on this and instead just gave it a rough sand then threw a clear coat on it so i dont ahve to worry about cleaning it soo much.
not light weight like the other ones i'm making.
i May still put an edge on it, but for the moment, it will do.
Enjoy!
once again i find myself at a loss for time to do much these days.
i'm sorry there isnt much new content floating around for you all to ogle, but i'm doing my best.
I might have some progress shots on afew things tomorrow though.
knocking up a bunch of deer antler knives and my jigsaw isnt cooperating with the new blades. they are somewhat flimsy and dont like cutting where they are told. ordered some new ones and i'll see if i can make them do their job.
will also be spending some time on making up some jigs for various tools. a router jog will get me some perfect circles, and an underbench mount for the drill will let me mount the carbide bits and more my work piece, instead of clamp the work piece and move the drill. its an experiment in trying to be more precise and i'm hoping that i can pull it off.
Also looking to increase my tools portfolio, mainly second hand tools so i can take them apart and make hybrid's
thanks for reading, and here's abit of advise for those of you that want to start tinkering with blades
Measure once, cut twice, swear repeatedly!
