π© Hat-Trick of Wins for Coastal! π
It was a big day for the club with a hat-trick of team wins as the U10 Barracudas, U11 Whales and U11 Orcas all brought home victories for Sydney Coastal across Junior comp.
π The moment of the day belonged to the U11 Orcas, where Daniel Wimshurst finished the final over with a hat-trick, sealing the win in dramatic fashion and sending the team into celebrations. But it was a true team effort across the innings. Wickets also came from Matt Whelan, Hamish Andrews , Ethan Gordan and Jamie Axel Manuyag, keeping the pressure on throughout the game. In the field the Orcas were electric β Vivaan Singh Raghuvanshi creating two run-outs with sharp work, while Ted Jackson held onto two excellent catches. The run-out pressure continued with Jamie Axel Manuyag, Daniel Wimshurst, Hamish Andrewβs and Aiden OβToole all getting involved to keep the scoreboard in check.
A complete performance with wickets, sharp fielding and a thrilling finish β exactly the kind of cricket the Orcas have been building towards all season. ππ₯
π U11 Whales had a strong team performance, with several players stepping up when it counted.
Albin Beves led the way with the bat, posting a personal best 25 off 18 balls, and backed it up in the field combining with teammate Steven Holt for a great catch. With the ball, the young guns delivered, as Boston Hennessy and Jake Nathan both tore through the opposition with three wickets each, putting the Whales firmly in control. A fantastic all-round effort from the team with contributions across batting, bowling and fielding to secure the win. ππͺ
β€οΈ U10 Barracudas
What can we say about the U10 Barracudas β this team has truly won the hearts of the club, and no doubt their opponents as well. A group of kids who came together this season as new teammates, building friendships and learning the game along the way. It hasnβt always been easy. Theyβve faced a tough season with some nail-biting close losses, but their determination and grit were on full display today with a fantastic 14-run win over .
The whole team stepped up with great energy and teamwork across the field, and a personal best batting performance from Jett Goldbach helped drive the result.
With the ball, Xavier Roberts, Alexander Moore and Byron Glaros all struck to keep the pressure on, while the fielders backed them up with great intent. Sharp work in the field led to run outs from Mahalia Balila and Byron Glaros, while Cassius Moar and Jude Bryan held onto important catches to keep the momentum with the Barracudas.
The best things donβt come easy β and today showed that hard work at training and sticking together as a team really does pay off β€οΈπ€β€οΈ

Show up. Work Hard. πͺ
π₯U13 Seals {5/221 v 8/44} delivered a dominant performance of the round, piling on a massive total before backing it up with ruthless bowling β a complete team display π₯
These kids come together each week not just because they love cricket and enjoy catching up β but because itβs their favourite way to burn off energy, have a laugh, spend time with their mates and enjoy a post game treat.
Thereβs laughing, loud appeals for things that were definitely not out, analysing stats, enthusiastic celebrations for almost anything, and at least one player asking βWhatβs the score?β, βHow many balls until im inβ, βHow many overs left?β every five minutes. π
Between the chaos though, theyβve got each otherβs backs, celebrate every wicket or run like itβs an Ashes Test, and somehow still manage to play some pretty good cricket.
Proof that teamwork, fun and a bit of madness go hand in hand. Wouldnβt have it any other way β€οΈ
