10 years of training have passed, and if I were to give you one piece of advice, it’s to be realistic about how your lifestyle intertwines with the gym.
Priorities alter throughout life, especially during adulthood, which means finding ways to get yourself to the gym becomes harder. Each year, I’ve found less and less time to run off to the gym, but I’ve always found a way, no matter the load of responsibility on my back.
Learn to adapt to change, and you will create consistency in anything.
Nonetheless, 2015 Michael would be proud of 2025 Michael.

A quote to live by, commit to your goals and achieve them, don’t stray away from finding your true potential, and just remember, your only limit is YOU.

I’ve proved enough to myself, no matter the placing.
I genuinely feel so proud of myself for withstanding the pressures of taking on bodybuilding prep on-top of juggling my business & parenthood.
Would of loved to take first place at first that’s what I wanted but the closer it got to show day the less I worried about having the top spot because I knew I was nearing the freedom to have more family, leisure time and the ability to refocus on business goals. Doing this prep has almost caused a reactive effect and a sling shot into goals that I’ve been waiting to work on such as my podcast and building up my clientele at my home studio, plus many more ventures to come!!!

The life I missed during my 6 months of prep!
Back to 🙌🏻

Competing on Sunday at the fitness expo was an absolute blast despite coming second in the opens class 2 I had an amazing time meeting people back stage and the whole process of competing is an experience in itself.
I do believe that it wasn’t the result I expected as I was gunning for first and I truly do believe I did everything possible to make that happen and I unfortunately fell short, overall I’m happy with the package I brought. At the end of the day if you would have told 16 year old Michael that I’d look this shredded and jacked one day he wouldn’t believe it for a second, in saying that I’m proud of myself for tackling 6 months of prep and battling through some health scares along the way and making it to that stage!
It saddens me to say this but it’s now time to hang up the boots and retire from any form of bodybuilding competitions, as the risk out way the rewards now being a family man and wanting the best for me my wife and my daughter.
I will never forget these memories I’ve made competing and the people I’ve met, thank you to everyone for the support and especially my wife for putting up with my s**t for 6 months of prep.
Special mention to coach .fitness for being the best mentor and leader in the field, if you’ve worked along side him before you will understand why he’s one of the best, Not just from his coaching style but leading by example.
