PART 2 - He’s right — and it actually hurts to see how true these words are.

Football is the heartbeat of millions of kids in this country. It’s the sport they fall asleep dreaming about. It’s the one thing that brings families together, communities together, cultures together. And yet, the support we give it doesn’t match the love we have for it.

I work with players, parents, clubs, legends of the game — and every single one of them says the same thing: *“Australia has everything it needs… except the backing.”*
And that hits hard, because we see the potential every day. We see kids with talent that could go worldwide. We see passion that deserves a chance. We see parents sacrificing everything just to keep their kids playing.

But the system isn’t giving them what they deserve.

Football shouldn’t be surviving — it should be thriving.
Kids shouldn’t be begging for opportunities — they should be surrounded by them.
We shouldn’t be losing talent overseas — we should be building a pathway right here at home.

This sport changes lives. It saves kids. It gives them identity, discipline, confidence and purpose. That alone should be enough reason for real investment and real support.

And that’s why I’m fighting so hard with everything we’re building. Not for money. Not for fame. For the kids. For the dreamers. For the future of football in this country.

Australia… we NEED to do better.
Our children deserve a system that believes in them just as much as they believe in the game.

It’s time to support football the way it supports us.
