NSW Premier Cricket introduced the Merit XII for the first time in 2012 to recognise the leading players in the Men's & Women's Competitions.
Selection into the team is based on statistics in First Grade preliminary-round matches during the season. Finals matches are not included in the count.
Twelve players are selected including the six highest run-scorers, the five leading wicket takers and the leading wicketkeeper.
The Player of the Year is selected as captain.
This award is one the Association's most significant awards and your selection in the team acknowledges one’s outstanding personal performance during the season.
All players are presented with a commemorative cap in recognition of their selection.
I am pleased to share that I am one of the players to have been awarded the Commemorative cap among other 10 players for getting 22 wickets in the tournament and 58 wickets overall in the season.
I am grateful for everything I have achieved, thank you for your prayers and love.
