Here at Mongrels, We love supporting a good cause and It's A Hard Choc Life is one of the best! Identifying the gaps that exist in supporting ADF Reservists with the impacts of their service and the flaws in the DVA system. Hard Choc Life raises awareness and provides support for those “Part Time Professionals” that need it. You can support the cause via their website:

This week was National Volunteer Week. You might not be aware but it is a requirement for all members of Mongrels to volunteer their time or expertise, giving back to the community. When new players join the team they are asked how they plan to do this, many opt to support Australian Army Cadets or Veteran based charities but how they choose to serve is a personal choice. If you’d like to know more, send us a DM.

Today, on ANZAC Day, our team completed the Kokoda Trek, retracing the footsteps of Australia's diggers across 96km of some of the most gruelling terrain on earth.

After over a year of training, our trekkers finished at Owers' Corner before attending the Dawn Service at Bomana War Cemetery, where they paid their respects to the men who fought and fell along this track in 1942.

All funds raised support the Commando Welfare Trust's work providing emergency and long-term financial assistance to Australia's Special Forces soldiers, veterans, and family members.

The Trust currently supports 60 members of this community who have given so much for our country.

Lest we forget.
