Introducing our final team member Dan Little as Main Trimmer for the Sail+ Racing team at the US Grand Slam 🇺🇸
The 27 year old Irishman is back onboard having last sailed with the team at the GKSS Match Cup 🇸🇪 Dan started sailing in Rathmullan Sailing Club in the north west coast of Ireland 🇮🇪 After graduating high school he moved from the laser into collage team racing where he won gold in the 2021 national championship. Dan then went on to sail with Ruairi Finnigan in the 2023 World Match Racing Tour Finals as well as cape 3- sailing on the Mediterranean circuit.
The Sail+ Racing Team will be competing at the Oakcliff International from August 3-7 hosted by Oakcliff Sailing Center and then straight into the Thompson Cup from August 9-12 hosted by

Introducing the team for the US Grand Slam in New York🇺🇸 Moving our way back in the boat, is long term skipper and co-founder of Sail+ is Zac West (Zac West Sailing)🇦🇺🇬🇧
The 24 year old Brit/Aussie (depends who you ask) started sailing started sailing in the UK 🇬🇧 before moving to Australia 🇦🇺 in 2017. Since then he has achieved 4 World Championship top ten results in the Laser (ILCA) and on the World Match Racing Tour with a silver🥈at the 2019 ILCA Worlds in Japan 🇯🇵
While chasing his pro sailing dreams, Zac is also studying at Macquarie University 🎓 on an Elite Sports Scholarship enabling him to study while racing the world 🌎

Introducing the team for the US Grand Slam in New York🇺🇸 Moving our way back in the boat, and fresh off the Rolex Fastnet on Primary Trim is Louis Taylor 🇫🇷
The 22 year old Frenchman 🇫🇷 is back onboard the Sail+ Racing Team, first sailing with us at the Macao Match Cup 🇲🇴
Louis started sailing in Western France on catamarans, then moved into keelboats in 2020 when he joined La Rochelle Nautique. Since then, he’s competed on both the university and open circuits in fleet racing, match racing, and offshore. Placing 4th at the 2024 European University Sailing Cup, J/80 regional champion in 2023, and top 10 finishes at the French Youth Nationals in 2024 and 2025 (J/80 shared fleet racing).
Louis is focusing on both match racing and offshore sailing, having just competed in the Fastnet where he placed 15th in IRC 1 🎉
The Sail+ Racing Team will be competing at the Oakcliff International from August 3-7 hosted by and then straight into the Thompson Cup from August 9-12 hosted by

Introducing the team for the US Grand Slam in New York🇺🇸 Moving our way back in the boat, on Pit & Second Trim is Ryan Fitzgerald 🇮🇪
The 26 year old Irishman is back onboard the Sail+ Racing Team, first sailing for us at the Ficker Cup in Long Beach California 🇺🇸 and recently at the GKSS Match Cup in Sweden 🇸🇪
Ryan began his sailing journey at Wicklow Sailing Club racing dinghies. He later immersed himself in university team racing before transitioning to keelboats.
In 2019, Ryan achieved a major milestone by winning the spirit division at the 12 Metre World Championships. This success led him to the world of match racing, joining the World Match Racing Tour in 2022 with Irish team Craic’n Racing. Since then, he has competed on the tour every season including a 3rd place in Montenegro and qualifying for the tour finals in China 2023.
The Sail+ Racing Team will be competing at the Oakcliff International from August 3-7 hosted by the Oakcliff Sailing Centre and then straight into the Thompson Cup from August 9-12 hosted by the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club.

Introducing the Sail+ Racing Team for the US Grand Slam 🇺🇸 Starting at the front of the boat, on bow, we have James Hopkins 🇦🇺
The 20 year old Aussie is back onboard the Sail+ Racing Team, last sailing with us at the World Match Racing Tour season final in Shenzhen, China 🇨🇳
James started sailing in Sydney at the Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club first on the Manly Junior, then F11, and now 13’ Skiff where he took out the 2022 & 2023 State Championships as well as the 2023 National Championships 🏆
James then joined the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron’s Keelboat Program in 2024 where he won the Australian National Championships 🥇 2nd at the Hardy Cup 🥈 and top ten at the World Match Racing Tour finals in China onboard with the Sail+ Racing Team.
The Sail+ Racing Team will be competing at the Oakcliff International from August 3-7 hosted by the Oakcliff Sailing Centre and then straight into the Thompson Cup from August 9-12 hosted by the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yachts Club.
