The concept of mindset refers to the underlying beliefs, attitudes, and cognitive framework that determines how we perceive and respond to the world around us.
Mindset significantly influences our actions, behaviours, and outcomes in various aspects of life, including personal development, relationships and professional success.
The two most common mindsets are the fixed mindset and the growth mindset.

“It’s impossible to know at the time things are happening to you, what’s good and what’s bad.
Sometimes, the things that you strive the hardest for turn out to be the things that become your hardest lessons—your failures.
And some of the worst things that happen turn out to be the best things to learn and evolve from.”

I’m going to share with you why momentum often precedes motivation and why it's not only more important but also more effective in driving success.
𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒎 𝒊𝒔 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏-𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅:
Momentum is all about taking action, even when you don't feel particularly motivated. Motivation tends to be an emotional state that can be fleeting, while momentum is a continuous and tangible force that keeps you moving forward. When you start taking small steps toward your goals, you build momentum that carries you through even on days when motivation is low.
𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒔 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚:
One of the challenges of relying solely on motivation is that it often requires a high level of intensity to get started. You may wait for the perfect moment or the perfect mood. Momentum, on the other hand, thrives on consistency. By consistently working towards your goals, even in small increments, you're more likely to make progress over time.
𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑭𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏:
It's a common misconception that motivation must precede action. In reality, motivation often follows action. When you begin a task, you generate a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of competence. This, in turn, fuels motivation. Think of it as a positive feedback loop – taking action creates motivation, not the other way around.
𝑺𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑭𝒖𝒆𝒍 𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒎:
Every small achievement adds fuel to your momentum. When you break your goals into smaller, manageable tasks, you can experience frequent wins. These small wins boost your confidence and motivation, making it easier to maintain your momentum
𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏:
Procrastination is the enemy of motivation. It's easy to put things off when you're waiting for motivation to strike. However, momentum helps you overcome procrastination because it's based on discipline and routine rather than waiting for a burst of inspiration.
𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒎 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝑯𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒔:
Building positive habits is a powerful way to achieve long-term success. Momentum helps establish these habits. When you consistently take action toward your goals, you're forming habits that make it easier to maintain your progress.
𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏:
Momentum encourages a focus on progress, not perfection. When you're motivated, you might strive for perfection and become discouraged when you fall short. Momentum encourages a different mindset – one where every step forward, no matter how small, is celebrated as a victory.
So, while motivation is essential and can be a wonderful force when it's present, it's not always reliable. Momentum, on the other hand, is a more dependable and effective driver of success. By taking consistent action, building positive habits, and celebrating your progress, you can harness the power of momentum to achieve your goals, even when motivation wanes. So, instead of waiting for motivation to strike, start taking action today and let momentum lead you to your desired destination.

As you would know, writing a book is a big thing and it’s been a lifetime dream of mine.
It’s a book I’ve written with the intention of inspiring and motivating others to chase their dream and to never give up on the things you want most in life.
No matter what obstacles you face, how hard you fall or how scary it is - it’s up to you to decide what happens next and to get back up, shake yourself off, learn from the past and keep moving forward.
Every adversity brings some kind of learning with it and often it’s our biggest failures which become the basis for our biggest success.
I’m not sharing my journey for myself, in fact a lot of what’s in the book is very personal stuff which definitely isn’t spoken about around the dinner table!
This is stuff I’ve kep to myself for years and have rarely shared but which I believe will resonate with many and help you to face up to your fears and push through self doubt.
It’s about the silent pain and difficulties we all encounter in life - but the defining factor for everyone is how you manage that, how you get up from it and how you become stronger and more resilient because of it.
This is my story, but I want you to know about it so that you can also rise above to become everything you have aspired to become.
We’re all here as one and I hope that by sharing the love, everyone who has faced similar or difficult challenges can find some solace in knowing that you’re not alone.
