MNTL VS

Well good fryday was kinda successful got both off and drove it off the pad And onto the trailer

Got very close to the walls did a violent but some what text book skid. Car went fairly well melted the shifter cable and fans broke sliding back hitting the top rad hose this time. Got it back to the pits where I had a good mate check the msd and give it some more timing and up the limmiter (massive thanks again Rob)

Definitely wouldn’t have been anywhere near ready if it wasn’t for Nick Vines and Michael Vansteen and the others out in the pits on the day thank you all to helped out

Now to pack the Ute up for a little while before the little one comes in a few weeks and we will definitely be back❤️ massive thank you to the amazing Mrs for all the time hard work and dedication to the sport we love Soon your getting strapped in and holding on for a good ride ❤️

So after the last few events the Ute has been to everyone can see there was some pretty big issues……. Well do I have news for you

The head gaskets were not the greatest thing out , heads where very poorly done, electrical side of things where shot basically a lot was wrong
After a few very stressful few weeks my very good mates and I tore into the vs and gave it an early b day. Fresh top end with headstuds gaskets lifters ect new cooling system full rewire of the car and even had time to make a different exhaust setup For what it’s worth not a lot but hopefully some big improvements out on the pad

When I was redoing the looms for everything I even threw in the center console and had a chance to make the thing look decent inside

Now onto Good Friday in 2 days where it will be the first full test to see if all the bugs are gone with this one

And yes before I hear it at eastern creek I can confirm there is a new car but it will be a very long time to get it done and be out at the pad or on show I’m not going to say what it is what the plans are just know a fire suit will be required 😉😉 but it will obviously take a while as my partner and I are expecting out son any day now so this will be the last event we will be at for a while with the car

So the vs went and did tgi on Friday still chasing the cooling system problem. Did a rad hose and got a bit hot after having some last second problems on the start line and it stalling out on me but till next year it can stay in the shed waiting to be pulled all apart for a big secret coming 😉😉

So got some good news.

PIG PEN at no mercy is locked in unfortunately didn’t get to party on the main stage but with a killer line up of cars I bet it wasn’t a easy choice for all involved. 4th October

We will also be at TGIF at Eastern creek to kill some more tyres 31st October

So some things have been happening in the background with the Ute and still have more to do with it. After the first skid and seeing how much fire this animal throws out I decided to make a full exhaust for it. You know safety and stuff, kinda don’t want to burn this one 😉
