The official page of hockey in NSW. Hockey NSW is an affiliate of Hockey Australia. We present 26 Field and Indoor Hockey State Championships every year.

Our NSW State Hockey Teams are some of the most successful in the country, from U13 boys and girls through to the NSW Pride competing in the National Hockey One League. Hockey NSW produces some of Australia's most successful athletes which compete in the Australian hockey teams the Hockeyroos (women) and Kookaburras (men). Participate in hockey as a field hockey player, indoor hockey player, hockey umpire, hockey coach or volunteer! Contact Hockey NSW today for more information.

Tomorrow marks the start of the 2026 Open Field State Championships, with teams from across New South Wales set to compete for state honours.

The 2026 Women’s Masters Field State Championships begin today! 🏑

Split across two competitions, the North tournament - proudly sponsored by Clarence Valley Council - will be played at Grafton Hockey Centre, while the South tournament heads to Parkes at the McGlynn Sporting Complex.

Congratulations to our male Champions who were crowned yesterday at the Under 18 Field State Championships!

Congratulations to Newcastle 1, crowned Division 1 Champions after a 4-2 victory over Tamworth.

In Division 2, Goulburn claimed top spot with a 5-0 win over Southern Highlands.

And in Division 3, Newcastle 2 were crowned Champions following a 3-1 victory over Albury Wodonga.
