💚 VANMAN MEMORIAL AWARD 🖤
As many of you will know, we lost our mate Dave in March this year. What might be lesser known, was how pivotal the big guy was behind the scenes. Judge, after-party coordinator, sponsor, various committee positions, driving force behind the creation and continuation of Thrashernats. Dave was a huge advocate of the young guns, and his voice of reason is why we have never cut down the 6cyl class or transitioned to an invite only show, and why we keep offering up the Friday expression sessions.

Vearing was all about making sure everyone had a fair chance to have a good time at a quality show.

This year we will introduce the annual VANMAN MEMORIAL AWARD. This award is all about being a good mate, working hard, playing hard and being respectful of the scene. Each year, the winner will take home a custom made trophy created and donated by Phil Kerjean Motorsports, as well as be added to the perpetual memorial shield which will be displayed at the track.

We will save Dave a seat in his usual spot, so if you notice an empty chair padside, just know its for our good friend ❤️‍🩹

Been abit quiet in the burnout scene lately but slowly things are coming together for the new build.
Bit of time spent screwing together a stock bottom end Au intech with a few supporting mods to have a play with Methanol.

* el/au tickford head with bigger valves and decked for higher comp

* stage 5 cam and matching springs/retainers fromCrow Cams Australia Pty Ltd

* Aussiespeed Performance Products 4 barrel manifold

* ICE Ignition full ignition system

* pacemaker 4480 extractors

Had a play with the die grinder and opened up the rocker cover breathers and oil returns to sump in the block and head.

Now to have a crack at modifying my own rockers to adjustable solid lifters and build my own power glide with most parts sourced from Shotgun Performance Transmission & Race Components😎

Doing things on a tight budget takes time but I’m sure I’ll be satisfied with the combo when it all comes together.🤙
