We're really good at being the person everyone can count on.

But sometimes that means we don't notice how long it's been since we checked in with ourselves.

Not the nurse.
Not the mom.
Not the wife.
Not the person handling the responsibilities.

You.

What do you need right now?

Maybe it's rest.
Maybe it's movement.
Maybe it's better boundaries.
Maybe it's connection.
Maybe it's simply a little more room to breathe.

I'm still learning what taking care of myself looks like in different seasons, too.
And maybe that's the point.

Wellness isn't something we finally master.

It's something we keep returning to.

What do you need more of in this season?

One word is enough. 👇

Think about who you were before nursing.

And then think about everything this profession has asked you to become.

Patient.
Adaptable.
Compassionate.
Resilient.
Calm when things aren't calm.

Able to communicate with people during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Able to make decisions when the pressure is high.

Those aren't just nursing skills.
They're part of who you've become.

And sometimes we're so focused on the clinical experience we've gained that we don't recognize everything else this profession has helped us develop.

Which one has nursing strengthened most in you?

Resilience? Compassion? Patience? Leadership? Perspective?

Or something completely different?

Tell me below.

Nursing teaches you a lot that never shows up in a textbook.

Not just about caring for people, but about life.

About how quickly things can change.
About being present.
About resilience.
About people.
About what really matters.

And I think every nurse carries a few of those lessons with them long after the shift ends.

So I'm curious…

What's ONE thing nursing has taught you about life, not medicine?
No right answer. Just your experience.

Tell me below.

It's interesting what stays with you.

Sometimes it's not the biggest emergency or the busiest shift.
It's a hand you held a little longer.

A conversation you still think about years later.

The patient who taught you something without ever knowing it.
The coworker who looked at you after a hard moment and didn't have to say a word.
Those moments don't always get talked about.
They don't show up on a résumé.

Most people will never even know they happened.

But they become part of you.

And maybe that's one of the things that connects us as nurses; we carry stories that don't always need explaining to be understood.

What's a small moment from your nursing journey that has stayed with you?

Behind every badge is a story.

A story of long days, lessons learned, people cared for, challenges overcome, and moments that remind us why this profession matters.

That's why I want to make more space here to celebrate the people behind the profession.

Every nurse has a story worth celebrating.

Some of the most compassionate and committed nurses are making a difference every day, often in ways that may never receive public recognition.

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for caring.

And thank you for being part of a profession built around serving others.

Know a nurse whose story deserves to be celebrated? Tag them below and tell us why.
I'd love to hear about the incredible nurses in your world.

You’re not the same nurse you were when you started.

And sometimes, I think we forget just how much this profession has shaped us.

Every patient taught you something.
Every challenge strengthened you.
Every season shaped you.

The things that once made you nervous may feel second nature now.
The situations you once wondered if you could handle became experiences you learned to navigate.
And somewhere between the long shifts, difficult moments, small victories, and people you've cared for, you grew.

Not all growth happens in big, life-changing moments.
Sometimes it happens quietly.

One shift.
One patient.
One lesson at a time.

So if you haven't stopped to recognize it lately, take a moment today and look back.
Look how far you've come.

What's one thing you know now that you wish you could tell the nurse you were on Day 1?

Some of the most important lessons in nursing aren't found in a textbook.

They're learned in the moments you never expected.

Through patients.
Through coworkers.
Through hard days.
Through conversations that stay with you long after your shift ends.

I know nursing has taught me a lot, not only about caring for others, but about people, resilience, leadership, and myself.

Now I want to hear from you.

What's one thing nursing has taught you that no textbook ever could?

Share yours below. You never know who might read your answer and think, Me too.

No matter how long you've been a nurse, I hope you never lose sight of the heart that brought you here.

The years may change you.
The experiences will shape you.

And your reason for staying may look different from your reason for starting.

But sometimes, one patient, one conversation, one small moment reminds you that the compassion that brought you here never really left.

What part of nursing still reminds you why you started?

Somewhere between the long shifts, the charting, the responsibilities, and taking care of everyone else…

nursing can start to feel like just another part of the routine.

But before it was your job, it was a choice.

There was a reason you chose this path.

Maybe someone cared for you or someone you loved during a difficult season.

Maybe you always knew you wanted to help people.

Maybe you were drawn to the science, the connection, the challenge, or simply the chance to make a difference.

Whatever your reason was, I think sometimes we need to remember that version of ourselves.

The one before the badge.

Before the long shifts.

Before, we knew how heavy some days could feel.

The one who simply thought, This is what I want to do.
Your journey may look different now.

You may look different now.

But that beginning is still part of your story.

So today, I want to take us back for a minute…

What first inspired you to become a nurse?

Tell me your story in the comments. I’d really love to hear it...
