The latest version of the BTG 50 rucksack, this time with an extra 8 litres of storage, via a top lid compartment and two hip-belt pouches. The top lid and pouches are all removable and can be used on the hip-belt for an easy day walk, or side trip. This version also has a firm plastic frame-sheet for extra weight distribution. Weighing in at a total of 1.24kg, this is still a light pack, with quality materials, features and comfort.

Just back from a great adventure on Hinchinbrook Island, putting some of the original Bush Turkey Gear rucksacks and shelter to the test. The plan was to hike the Thorsborne Trail from north to south, but heavy rain flooded all the main creeks and we were cut off at Little Ramsey Bay. It was impossible to continue south and more rain was forecast so we made the decision to shelter in place for a couple of days and return to the original drop-off point to be extracted. A friendly passing yachtie (thanks Stu Big Mama Sailing Townsville & Magnetic Island) came ashore and took us across the last remaining flooded creek.
A shout-out to Brad from Hinchinbrook Island Cruises who responded professionally to our changing circumstances. And a plug for our Garmin InReach with satellite messaging.

I made this custom cargo cover for a neat looking black Ford Ranger ute. Made with Kryptek® Camo - Print On-Demand Fabric - 1.9 oz PU Coated Ripstop Polyester from Ripstop By The Roll . Made like a fitted bed sheet with 4mm shock cord, it goes on easily and wraps around the bottom of the cargo tray.
I think it looks awesome.

A new customer requested a pack-lid for her Osprey Argon-70 rucksack. I modified a Stitchback TH-Lid pattern . and made it with HyperD 300 from with a main pouch, a top sleeve with Velcro, and an inner pouch with a zip. Ladder lock fastener for the back and side-release buckles for the front. It can be detached and used as a separate shoulder sling bag.

This is a two person ultralight tent I made, inspired by the original Dan Durston X-Mid 2. Weighing at 750 grams, without the hiking poles, it performed well on a recent four day hike on the Cooloola Great Walk, Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
