Small actions can change what happens next.

Confidence is using your voice and asking for help.
Respect is noticing, including and supporting others.
Control is pausing and choosing the safest response.

Children should never be expected to solve bullying alone. But we can give them a safe place to practise choices they can carry beyond the dojo.

Small Acts, Big Impact.

Bullying No Way Week starts today.

As a registered supporter, Samurai Dojo is bringing the national focus into our classes in a way that fits what we practise every week.

In classes this week, students will practise:

- situational awareness;
- confident posture and voice;
- safe distance and movement;
- controlled self-defence; and
- protecting, escaping and getting help.

**Small Acts, Big Impact.**

Self-defence is so much more than fighting.

It starts with awareness, boundaries, distance and choices. Physical skills matter, but their purpose is to help someone protect themselves and reach safety.

Bullying is never one child’s problem nor should it be the victim's responsibility to solve alone.

Next week is Bullying No Way Week, Australia’s national week of action against bullying.

Samurai Dojo is proud to once again be a registered supporter of the 2026 campaign.

Across our classes nwxt week, we’ll place an added focus on awareness, confident boundaries, safe distance, controlled self-defence, escape and getting help. Because real self-defence begins before a punch.

**Confidence. Respect. Control.**

This weekend, the KSI European Championships take place in Leipzig, Germany.

Dojos from across Europe and beyond will be on the tatami, competing under the same standards, kata and lineage that we train here at Samurai Dojo.

That is one of the special things about Kimura Shukoaki. Different countries, different dojos, same connection back to the training. nothing highlights this more than that the day before competition, everyone trains together as one!

To everyone competing, coaching, judging and officiating, we’ll be cheering you on from Australia.

Osu. 🥋
