INDOOROOPILLY SPLASH 💦 & DASH Winter Edition Seven of our crew braved the chill this morning to compete at this much loved event, along with WRCC club life member Shirley cheering them on. A glorious morning on the river, with the handicapping allowing for all paddlers to finish within 4 minutes of each other. First 🥇 across the line was our very own WRCC racing K2 Joel and Phoebe followed by Hayden Lao in 🥈 Times will be released shortly to find out who jostled for top three positions to claim bragging rights!! QLD MARATHON STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS Lake Samsonvale Whilst our illustrious coach is in Canada winning medals on the world stage ~ five of our crew ~ competed this morning in our state marathon championship. Dave and Joel took 2nd 🥈 and 🥉 3rd respectively in their masters category over 18km whilst Hayden finished overall 🥇 in 15km and U18. Our U16s Hannah and Phoebe also took 🥇 in their 12km K1 and TK1 respectively. A fantastic day on the water with terrific camaraderie making for a great morning.
