It’s fantastic to see another great local community event taking shape, and we’re looking forward to getting behind the Westleigh Fun Run in November!

We encourage the whole community to get involved and head down to Ruddock Park this Sunday for the first Community Training Run. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, just getting started, or simply want to be part of the community fun — everyone is welcome!

🚨 **A Lifesaving Addition to Oakleigh Oval** ❤️

Thornleigh Sports Club is proud to announce that we have purchased and installed a Community Accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at Oakleigh Oval.

This AED is available 24 hours a day and can be used by anyone in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Quick access to an AED, together with CPR, can make the difference between life and death.

We encourage everyone who uses Oakleigh Oval—players, families, volunteers and members of our local Thornleigh/Westleigh Community—to familiarise themselves with its location. We hope it is never needed, but we're proud to have this important piece of lifesaving equipment available for our community.

The cabinet is fitted with an alarm, and the AED is equipped with a remotely monitored tracking device that activates if the cabinet is opened or the AED is moved.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible and for supporting a safer sporting and community environment for all. 💙💛

Looking for a fun, active sport for your child this summer?

Thornleigh Cricket Club Est. 1930 is hosting 2 x FREE Try Cricket Days. Whether they've never picked up a bat or have played before, everyone is welcome.

📍 Ruddock Park Cricket Nets

Kids can:
✅ Have a hit and bowl
✅ Join in fun cricket activities and games
✅ Meet our friendly coaches and players
✅ Learn about our Cricket Blast - Intro to Cricket Program

Also learn about our Junior & Senior Teams.

No experience needed, and all equipment is provided—just wear comfortable clothes, shoes and bring a water bottle.
