💛 Exploring Through Yellow! 💛

Our nursery children have been enjoying a wonderful yellow-themed sensory experience, thoughtfully created by our educators in response to the children’s interests. 🌼✨

The children were invited to explore a sensory tray filled with a variety of yellow objects and materials, allowing them to make their own choices, investigate different textures and engage in hands-on play. 👐🏼

It was lovely to see the children sharing the experience with their friends, using their creativity and curiosity as they explored the resources together. 💛

Alongside our sensory exploration, educators also incorporated yellow playdough and a meaningful “R U OK?” wellbeing conversation, supporting children to begin recognising and expressing their emotions in a safe and nurturing environment. 🫶🏼

🚀✨ Happy Educators’ Day at Milestones Toronto! 🌟❤️

Today, we celebrate and recognise our amazing team of dedicated educators who, every day, create new experiences, inspire curiosity, play, learn and, most importantly, dedicate their hearts to our children. 🥰

Our team has worked incredibly hard to create a whole new environment and a fresh beginning at Milestones Toronto, and we are so proud of everything they have achieved. We truly appreciate their passion, commitment and all the little things they do each day to make a difference in our children’s lives. 💕👏

🌌 This year’s theme was “The Future starts with us”
We chose a space rocket because our educators are the stars who guide and support our children as they explore, learn and journey towards their future. 🌟

We also invited our families to join in the fun with a little guessing game — “Guess the Educator!” 👶➡️👩‍🏫 Families had to match our educators to their childhood photos, and it was definitely a lot of fun! 😂❤️

And of course, no celebration is complete without treats! 🍦✨ Our educators enjoyed their very own ice cream station, because they absolutely deserve a little sweetness after all their hard work! 😋

📚✨ Book Week at Milestones Toronto! ✨📚

Last week, we celebrated Book Week with our children, bringing some of their favourite stories to life through fun, creative and hands-on experiences! 💕📖

Our Preschool team worked incredibly hard to create an amazing week filled with story-inspired learning, sensory experiences, hands-on activities and lots of dress-ups! 🎭🎨👐

The children explored The Cat in the Hat, The Colour Monster and Wombat Stew, with each book inspiring exciting experiences that encouraged their imagination, creativity and love of learning. 🐱🎩🌈🦘

From sensory bins and creative activities to dressing up as their favourite characters, there were so many opportunities for the children to play, explore, imagine and connect with the wonderful world of books. 📚💫

A huge thank you to our amazing Preschool educators for putting so much thought, creativity and effort into making Book Week so special! ❤️

What an exciting week of imagination, discovery and adventure! 🌈📖

At Milestones Toronto, we’re celebrating Book Week by bringing our favourite stories to life through fun and meaningful learning experiences. From creative activities and storytelling to exploring characters, ideas and new worlds, every book is an opportunity to learn, imagine and discover! 🧸🌎✨

👗📚 We’re also having a Best Dressed Book Character competition, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing costumes and creativity from our little book lovers!

📖💛 Our Community Library is another special part of our Book Week celebration. We love encouraging a love of reading and creating opportunities for our families and community to share, explore and enjoy books together.

Because every story opens the door to a new adventure… 🌟

🌿💛 Our Community Pantry at Milestones Toronto 💛🌿

At Milestones Toronto, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting one another. As part of the Complete Connect approach within Affinity Education, we love creating meaningful connections between our centre, our families and our wider community. 🤝✨

Our Community Pantry is here for families to take what they need and share what they can. It’s a small initiative with a big message — we are here to support each other! 🥰

And we can’t forget our wonderful Chef Rob! 👨‍🍳💛 Each morning and afternoon, Rob leaves a delicious homemade cake for our families to help themselves to. 🍰☕️

Whether it’s grabbing a slice of cake, taking something from our pantry, or simply having a chat at drop-off or pick-up, these little moments help build a connected, caring community. 🌱💕

Because when we connect, support and care for one another, our whole community grows stronger. 💛

🔬🧪 Science Week at Milestones Toronto! 🌱✨

This week at Milestones Toronto, our educators have been inspiring curious little minds through a week full of exciting science, STEM and hands-on learning experiences! 🚀🔍

From our Babies through to Preschool, children have been exploring, experimenting, predicting and discovering how the world around them works. 🌎💡

🌋 Creating exciting volcano experiments
🌈 Mixing colours and discovering what happens when colours combine
💧 Exploring sink and float and making predictions
🌱 Investigating our garden and connecting with nature
👐 Getting hands-on with sensory and science experiences
🔎 Exploring cause and effect, observation, problem-solving and making connections

Through our STEM experiences, we encourage children to be curious thinkers, confident problem-solvers and enthusiastic explorers. Most importantly, we give children the opportunity to learn through play, ask questions, test their ideas and discover that sometimes… the best learning happens when things don’t go exactly as planned! 🧠✨

We are so proud of our amazing educators for creating meaningful learning opportunities and fostering a love of science, discovery and curiosity from the very beginning. ❤️

We believe that strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re already part of our centre family or thinking about joining us, we can’t wait to welcome you into a warm, caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about our amazing educators, the exciting learning experiences happening each day and the special moments that make our centre such a wonderful place to grow.

This week we’re celebrating Dental Health Week at Milestones Toronto! Our educators have been planning fun and engaging experiences to help children of all ages learn about the importance of keeping their teeth healthy and strong.

Tomorrow, we have a special surprise for our families 💙 We’ve prepared dental kits to take home, along with an activity table filled with colouring, brushing practice, and hands-on fun for everyone to enjoy together.

We love creating opportunities that bring our families and centre community closer, and this is a beautiful way to connect, learn, and share special moments together.

As the weather cools down, little bodies need warm, nourishing food to keep them going 🍛

Our new autumn menu is filled with comforting, wholesome meals designed to support your child’s wellbeing and growing appetite.

And yes... we’re often told children try foods here they won’t touch at home 👀

Big feelings can be loud, exhausting, and sometimes arrive at the worst possible moment 🌻

For toddlers and preschoolers, emotional blow-ups often happen because they’re still learning how to cope with frustration, change, and big moments, not because anyone is “doing it wrong”.

At Milestones, we support children through big feelings with calm, consistent care, helping them feel safe while they build emotional skills over time.
