π¦πΊ OUR FOUNDER IS HEADING TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
ππ
We might be just a little bit proud of this one⦠Freedom Sports Foundation Founder
Chris Henderson "Hendo" is heading to
Spain to represent Australia in wheelchair handball! π¦πΊπ€ΎββοΈ
In September, Hendo will pull on the green and gold and compete for Australia at the
Wheelchair Handball World Championships.
For those who know Hendo, youβll know just how much sport means to him. After acquiring his disability, adaptive sport opened a new chapter bringing competition, mateship, belonging and opportunities he never expected.
That experience ultimately helped inspire the creation of Freedom Sports Foundation.
Today, Hendo spends so much of his time putting a ball in someone elseβs hands, getting someone into a sports wheelchair for the first time, or showing a young person that disability doesnβt have to mean sitting on the sidelines.
Now itβs his turn. ππ
From founding Freedom, to delivering programs in schools and communities, coaching and playing wheelchair AFL, championing adaptive sport and now representing Australia on the world stage.
This is exactly what we mean when we say:
See. Believe. Dream. Achieve.
Hendo is personally funding his journey to Spain and has established an Australian Sports Foundation fundraising campaign
to help with flights, accommodation, tournament expenses and the costs of competing internationally.
If you can support him, fantastic. If you canβt, sharing his campaign with your networks would mean just as much. And for any businesses or organisations interested in supporting an Australian athlete on his journey to the World Championships, Hendo would love to hear from you.

Congratulations Hendo.
From everyone across the Freedom family
we are incredibly proud of you.
Go well. Wear the green and gold proudly. And bring on Spain! π¦πΊπππ€ΎββοΈ
