It is with deep sadness that the Townsville Gem & Mineral Club acknowledges the passing of long-time member and valued friend, Elithia Brady.

Elithia, alongside her husband John, became part of the Townsville Gem Club community many years ago after moving from Brisbane. Together, they quickly became deeply involved in our gem club life, taking on roles within the club, supporting committee activities, helping behind the counter, and always lending a hand wherever it was needed.

Elithia was also one of the driving forces behind establishing our Townsville Gem Show 20 years ago — an event that continues to bring together our community and showcase the passion and dedication of our members today. Her contribution to our club and the wider gem and mineral community will not be forgotten.

Elithia and John were highly valued members of every club they joined and were always happiest when helping others. Elithia’s kindness, commitment, and community spirit touched so many people over the years.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Brady family during this difficult time.

The family warmly welcomes any members who would like to celebrate Elithia’s life to attend her service at Holy Spirit Parish Centre, Cranbrook, this Thursday 14th May at 10:30am.
