⚡ GET ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS ARE NOW LIVE! ⚡

Great news, Thunder families! 💚💙 The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible Victorian families get their children involved in sport by providing up to $200 per eligible child towards membership and registration costs.

💰 SAVE UP TO $200 ON YOUR FEES!

Truganina Thunder is a registered Get Active Kids activity provider, so if your child is eligible, you can nominate us when applying and we will apply the $200 voucher towards their eligible Truganina Thunder AFL or Netball fees.

⚡ HOW TO APPLY

Head to the official Get Active Kids Voucher application page⁠ and complete the online application.

When asked to select your Activity Provider, search for:

🔎 TruganinaThunder

Once your application is approved, you will receive a unique voucher code for your child. Send/provide that voucher to us and we can apply it towards their eligible registration or membership fees. Vouchers can only be used with the provider selected on the application and are used in one transaction.

💚 WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Generally, children must be aged 0–18, live in Victoria, and be named on an eligible Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card AND Medicare Card. There are also special consideration provisions for some children in care and certain visa/migration circumstances.

🚨 GET IN QUICK! 🚨

Applications close 10AM, 13 OCTOBER 2026 OR EARLIER IF THE AVAILABLE FUNDING IS EXHAUSTED. Vouchers are subject to availability, so we strongly encourage eligible Thunder families to apply as soon as possible.

Six weeks now, we’re swapping footy boots and training gear for black tie, bubbles, music and a night of celebration.
And we want YOU there.
This is our inaugural Thunder Gala & Senior Presentation Night — but it’s going to be so much more than an awards night.

💚⚡ WOMEN’S COACHES WANTED – JOIN THE THUNDER FAMILY! ⚡💙

Truganina Thunder Football & Netball Club is incredibly proud to have been recognised as a Women & Girls Chartered Club for the second year in a row! 💚

Being part of the Women & Girls Charter is something we are extremely proud of. It represents our commitment to creating a club where women and girls feel welcomed, respected, supported and encouraged to be involved in all areas of community football — whether that’s as a player, coach, volunteer, committee member or leader.

At Thunder, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, family-focused and welcoming club where everyone has the opportunity to belong. As our girls and women’s football program continues to grow, we want to continue building strong female leadership around our players.

We would absolutely love to welcome more women into coaching roles at Truganina Thunder for the 2027 season. 💪💚

You don’t have to have years of coaching experience. If you have a passion for football, enjoy working with young people, want to learn and develop your coaching skills, or simply want to help make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

We currently have opportunities available for:

⚡ U16 Girls – Assistant Coach
⚡ Senior Women’s – Head Coach & Assistant Coach

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing women’s and girls football program, develop your coaching skills and, most importantly, help inspire the next generation of female footballers.

We want our girls to grow up seeing women coaching, leading and having a strong voice within their football club. We also want women in our community to know that there is a place for you at Thunder. 💚

Whether you’re an experienced coach, a former player, a football mum, or someone wanting to take that first step into coaching, we would love to welcome you to our club and support you along the way.

For the second year running, Truganina Thunder Football Club is incredibly proud to be recognised as a Women & Girls Community Football Chartered Club! ⚡🏉

This recognition reflects the work we continue to put in to ensure women and girls feel welcomed, supported, valued and included at Thunder.

The Women & Girls Community Football Charter is about creating football environments where women and girls have equal opportunities, visibility, access and investment, whether they are players, coaches, volunteers, officials, committee members or supporters.
