Perfect weather for a perfect finish to our Tigers juniors season for their presentations today!

Our 2-5 year old Cubs along with our non competitive junior teams and parents enjoyed a free bottomless sausage sizzle, ice slushies and lollies while playing on the jumping castle and blow up football field at the Tigers Den where they also received their trophies!

While our competitive Junior teams enjoyed the fun facilities at Discovery Parks Forster with all you can eat pizza and drinks! Thanks so much to Dave Woodlee from Discovery Parks Forster for providing this wonderful venue and to Amalfi Pizza & Pasta Forster supporting us with the incredible pizzas for our older kids!

Congratulations to all the trophy winners and another big thank you to all our coaches, managers, committee members and parents who help out throughout the year!

PS: Presentation for our Under 18’s, over 35’s, Open Men and Ladies teams is next Saturday the 19th of September at the Bellevue Hotel Tuncurry from 6pm!

Our players pay good money to register for the Tigers so we don’t believe in charging our them to enjoy for their presentation celebrations so all players will enjoy an awesome Belle Bistro two course meal covered by the club! Players just pay for their drinks. Non registered partners, friends and family are also welcome for only $30 a head and you can pay on the night!

And that’s a wrap on the 2026 season!

Our two last standing teams, our senior ladies Tigerettes and our under 15/16 Tigers played their respective Grand Finals on Friday night and Saturday afternoon to finish an amazing year of football for the Tuncurry Forster Football Club!

Both our teams went down to their competition favourites but in the end there were only two teams in each competition who are fortunate enough to take home a medal so we’re very proud each and everyone of our players. You represented the club wonderfully! Enjoy some of these memories!

A huge thank you to the amazing referees and officials who turn up every week and help make it all possible!

And a special thank you and congratulations to Football Mid North Coast committee for helping to make this a great year to remember for all our teams!

With the 2026 season coming to a close TFFC would like to invite all players, parents, coaches, managers and supports to their relevant Presentations!

Here are the details…

🏆Non competitive junior teams from under 6 to under 11 which including our 3-5 year CUBS will be on the morning of Sunday the 13th of September from 9am at The Tigers Den playing fields in Tuncurry.

🏆 Competitive Junior teams from under 12 to under 16 will also be on the 13th starting from 1pm at Discovery Parks Forster, 99 Aquatic Rd, Darawank.

🏆 Seniors which includes under 18, over 35, Men and Women’s teams will be on the evening of the 19th of September at The Bellevue Hotel in Tuncurry starting at 6pm.

🏆 ALL meals and activities are included (non players attending the senior presentation can pay $30 on the night for a two course meal) so just come, enjoy and celebrate.

🐅 DARE TO DREAM
GRAND FINAL 🐅

What a journey it’s been for our U15/16 Tigers! 💛🖤

Made up predominantly of 14 and 15-year-olds, this young Tigers side has fought its way all the way through to the U16 Grand Final.

It hasn’t always been an easy road. They lost their captain Eddie to a serious shoulder injury early in the season, they’ve had their ups and downs, and along the way they’ve had to learn plenty about leadership, resilience and playing for each other.

But they kept going. And now they’re here. 🙌

Waiting for them on Saturday is local rival Great Lakes — a side that has scored more than 100 goals this season while conceding just four. They’ve beaten our boys twice this year, 6–0 and more recently 4–0.

So are our young Tigers the underdogs?

Absolutely.

But lately, something has clicked. 🔥

Back-to-back wins over second-placed Wingham, 3–1 and 3–0, have the boys playing some of their best football of the season — free-flowing in attack, defending with everything they’ve got and hitting form at exactly the right time.

Coaches Juju and Will have encouraged their players all season to DARE TO DREAM.

Well team… dream big.

Because Grand Finals aren’t won on what happened earlier in the season.

They’re won by what happens on the day.

One game. One opportunity. One special performance.

Is all comes down to this!

Almost 12 months of training, trials and games come to a head this Friday night when your TFFC Tigerettes take on competition minor premiers and clear favourites the Taree Leopards in the Football Mid North Coast Southern Division A Grade Grand Final!

Only a few short years ago this Tigerettes team were languishing at the bottom of the B grade ladder but worked hard to finish the 2025 season in 6th place earning themselves a place in A grade this year for the first time ever.

Not given much of a chance our Tigerettes overcame multiple setbacks due to injury to finish the season proper in third place to make the semi finals.

They met old rivals the Wingham Warriors in the elimination semi. Wingham had beaten the Tigerettes in two previous B grade finals series. After another momentous game between these two teams our girls had to do it the hard way eventually winning 4-2 in extra time.

This set up a showdown with the reigning premiers, the Cundletown Jets in the final last week! This Tigerettes team had never beaten the Jets over the years and this season was no different with our girls going down 2-4 and 0-1 in their normal season matches. But belief was high in the Tigerettes camp and our girls were able to put 5 goals past their keeper to surprise everyone and end the game as 5-3 victors!

But the Taree Leopards are a different prospect entirely! Finishing Minor Premiers after scoring 63 goals and only conceding 3 the Leopards are clear favourites! These teams have met twice this year with Taree winning convincingly 6-0 and 4-0.

Can the Tigerettes somehow end their fairytale run on a high?

Get down to the Zone fields in Taree this Friday night to find out! Kick off is 8.15pm after the B Grade grand final!

That’s one step closer to the ultimate prize for our senior Tigerettes and our under 15/16 Tigers as well as the end of a great season for our under 13’s.

Our valiant under 13’s went down one goal to two to the Halliday’s Point Barracudas in a nail biter yesterday in their elimination final. This is definitely a team to watch for the future as they continue to target that elusive grand final! Well done to all players and a big thank you from the club to the coaches, managers and parents!

Our under 15/16’s have made their intentions plain with a convincing three nil win over the Wingham Warriors in their final! Dominating across the park our Tigers were relentless in attack and strong in defence to set themselves up for a huge Grand Final next weekend! The stage is set for a BIG one next week!

Our senior ladies, the Tigerettes shocked everyone on Friday night by not only beating last years A grade Premiers and heavy favourites the Cundletown Jets but by also putting 5 goals in against a team they’d never beaten before. The game started with Cundle controlling play for the first 10 minutes but then some great build up play by the Tigerettes saw a brilliant thru ball to our speedy striker to slot home the first goal of the match.

This seemed to shell shock the confident Jets and boost the Tigerettes who then went on to put 3 more goals past the Jets keeper in fairly quick succession. A late goal mouth scramble saw Cundle score and the Tigerettes go into the break leading 4-1.

The second half started the same as the first with Cundle now throwing everything at the Tigerettes but again, speed up front proved the difference with Val Mars getting first to a high ball to nod her fourth of the night over the advancing keeper!

The Tigerettes midfield and defence were relentless in closing the Jets down for the next 20 minutes creating frustration and desperation! Our girls left everything on the park and were visibly out on their feet in the dying minutes when cundle were able to salvage two late consolation goals! But the damage was done! The Tigerettes had already done enough to move into the coveted Grand Final in their first year in A grade!
