We love seeing a father–son combo take the field together… but two father–son duos in the same team? That’s something you don’t see every day in LMS!

Andrew and Nic Kyriazis are well-known faces at South Sydney Juniors Cricket Club — Andrew with 150+ games, and Nic closing in on 50.

John Kyriazis played his very first LMS match back in 2016 and has always been a huge supporter, often on the sidelines cheering on his boys. But yesterday, when SSJCC needed him, he pulled the club colours back on and headed out alongside his son Jake (who’s nearing 100 games).

It was only John’s 4th LMS match (one each in 2016, 2017, 2019 and now 2025) — and it turned into a special one as he claimed his first-ever LMS wicket! 🎉

Well played, John — awesome to see you back out there in the famous club colours. 🙌

TRIPLE THREAT - KYRIAZIS BROTHERS

In potentially a global first, the three Kyriazis brothers all hit 50 in the same match last week! Harry 52* (17) and Luke 54* (29) opened up the innings before Jake 52* (17) joined the fun in at number 4. The three combined for all but 24 of the runs to chase down a total of 182 in the 15th over!

Playing for South Sydney Juniors Cricket Club, the boys are through to the Eastern Suburbs Sunday Div 1 final this coming Sunday as they look for a maiden title.

Our keen statisticians have been wondering if anyone is aware of 3 brothers all hitting 50's in another LMS match globally?

Congrats to the t20 team on making another last Man stands Sydney East Division 1 grand final.

The team will play next Sunday at Moore Park at 1115am.

A great victory in the GF Qualifier today with Souths conquering the stifling heat and minor premiers Connelly.
Souths 3/154 chased down Connelly 5/153 with 5 wickets and 6 balls in hand.
Our bowling started tight and if not for a couple of dropped catches Nic and Harry could have had both their openers gone in the first six balls. However Luke and Bambi came on and made amends. In particular Bambi The Destroyer was at his brutal best with his nagging line and length frustrating their best batters into rash shots and seeing the stumps fly. 3/28 was a tremendous return for The Greatest Showman Bambi! Luke was outstanding with 1/22 along with Nic taking a valuable late wicket.
Our batting got off to a solid if not spectacular start with Jack timing a pull shot and cover drive to the boundary before getting caught for 11. Luke capped an excellent all round performance that won him the MOTM with 52* off 30 balls. Benny turned the game with a lightning 30 off only 14 balls to put us ahead of the run rate. AK played the sheet anchor role with far too much running between wickets but needed on a very large outfield in the heat. 46* saw us home, along with Harry’s late heroics with 7* off 3 to hit the winning runs.
So straight into the grand final next week at 11:15 against either Connelly or the winner of the Knockout Strokes or Daily Batters.

THE KYRIAZIS DREAM!

It was fantastic to see Harry and Jake Kyriazis make their LMS East Sydney Dream team debut at North Sydney Oval last Monday. The brothers were following in the footsteps of their uncle, Andrew Kyriazis. Andrew played in the inaugural East v West Dream team match in 2024. Andrew was the keeper batsman and contributed 25* to the East victory. With big shoes to fill, Harry was one of the stand-out bowlers in the 2025 Dream team match with exceptional figures of 1/7 off 3 overs. Jake was economical with 0/11 off 2 overs and hit the winning runs as the East Dream team went back to back.

The Kyriazis trio are part of LMS Sydney stalwarts South Sydney Juniors Cricket Club. Sydney's number 5 ranked team has had 7 Kyriazis' play for the team over the years. They're through to this Sunday's Eastern Suburbs Sunday division 1 Grand Final Qualifier against the red hot Connelly CC.

Congratulations to Andrew, Harry, and Jake! Thoroughly well deserved!

Following on the back of Bambi’s recent t20 hat trick, Andrew Pandelis got 3 in his first 3 balls today bowling his leggies. 1 caught and 2 stumped.

This comes 17 years after Panda debuted as a 16 year old playing t20 with SSJCC.

Ralph also managed to snag a hole in 1 on the 14th, great day had by all. All the spoils to the winners!

Matt trenear golf day at Brighton lakes golf club on the 8th of September. Bus will leave from the Rex at 7:00 tee off at 8:30. It’s around 120 bucks entry if getting the bus and around 80 if getting their own way there.
