We are very proud to have specialist hip and knee Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr Anthony Murray, attend our Recertification 3 days for our Level 3 Advanced Medics, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician’s, Emergency Medical Technician’s and Paramedics. Dr Anthony will be delivering a talk on Orthopedic Trauma and how we can better handle it in the field and the journey through his Theatre and onwards for the Patient. He will conduct the session on the Saturday morning in Bundaberg. Greg and Karen are extremely grateful for Anthony taking time out of his very hectic schedule to do this for our frontline Teams.

We preach and preach about the importance of wearing headgear/helmets in high risk dangerous sports.
Tonight was the classic for me, in my career I have seen countless ugly head wounds but tonight the semi pro bulls at this event had horns to be afraid of. One of these horns hit my patient in the head with tremendous force, lucky he had a helmet on. It destroyed the helmet and penetrated through the helmet resulting in a star shaped stab style wound to the skull. Lots of blood loss and a trip to the ED for suturing.

Level 3 Advanced Sports Trainer Course 18/19 October 25, place will be Bundaberg. Very Limited spaces available. Full course $810, Recert $395 This course gives you an opportunity to train with highly experienced registered Paramedics. There will be some Zoom sessions in the weeks prior to face to face course.
