The Executive is proud to announce the newest life member of the MSA community, BELINDA RAE for her contribution to softball at Fawkner Park, awarded yesterday at our AGM

Belinda is a worthy recipient having been an active member of softball at Fawkner Park in an administrative capacity since 2015, a ten year period. Belinda preceded her service with a fifteen year stint as a junior player.

Belinda has been a great ambassador for our sport. She has involved herself as an administrator at Association level since May 2015, along with being a Melbourne representative player and coach and with her club commitments adds playing, coaching and committee member to her list of achievements.

We are honoured to have Belinda Rae as a member of our Association. We believe Melbourne Softball Association and our members have benefited greatly from Belinda’s commitment and contribution to softball at Fawkner Park.

Congratulations Belinda, we look forward to many more decades to be spent at beautiful Fawkner Park with you.

Belinda will be presented with her Life Membership award at Grand final day on Sunday September 13, 2026

This is a reminder that our AGM is Sunday, 31st May 2026. Commencing at 9.30am it shall be preceded with breakfast in the park at 9.00am

All TEAMS in this 2026 Metro League competition must have at least one delegate attend, more members are welcome. As is any interested person.

The agenda includes a report on what's happened over the past twelve months, and what's planned for our future.

Importantly it also includes the election of 3 executive committee members (treasurer, competitions manager and 2 general members for a 2 year term and 1 general member for a 1 year term.) Two of the remaining 4 positions are for election in 2027.

Now we MUST REPLACE members who have finished their term. No-one expects new blood to join a committee with the knowledge and experience those before them have learnt over their time as executive members. They put their hands up, and learnt as they went. Now it's time for someone else to do the same, to bring new ideas to the discussion table. Do you want to make a difference? ARE YOU THAT SOMEONE? Do you know someone who would have enthusiasm and energy to join a team to work for the betterment of softball at Fawkner Park.

Please give this serious consideration, spread the word - ask members - for Melbourne Softball to continue we need a full working committee of seven members!

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday morning.

Melbourne Softball is pleased and proud to celebrate all the great people who help to keep our Fawkner Park softball community and the sport we all love so much thriving in a warm welcoming environment.

All year round, but particularly in 2026 National Volunteer Week we acknowledge we couldn't do it without the countless hours put in by our committee, support crews, umpires, coaches, scorers, players and family and friends who jump in to help out. Thank you for your time, passion and commitment, to softball, particularly at Fawkner Park.
