It’s grand final night tonight Monday 29 June 2026. Game times are listed on Basketball Connect with games at 6.10pm, 7.25pm and 8.40pm at the St Clair Recreation Centre.

Presentations to both the winning and runner-up teams, and individual player Best and Fairest awards will be presented following the grand final for that grade. Hope to see you there.

With only 3 weeks left in the 2026 first season, nominations for the 2026 second season are now open, to be returned by 10 July 2026. For existing clubs/teams, your Club Secretary has nomination forms. For new clubs, please DM us below and we'll contact you separately. Note your church minister should sign the form or submit it from their church email address.

Reminder that we ARE playing on Monday night 9 March 2026. Yes, it’s a public holiday in South Australia and yes, games are being played at the St Clair Recreation Centre as usual. Game times are available via Basketball Connect.

A few quick updates to share:

1. For the past few seasons, the winning grand final teams have been issued Westside Church Basketball socks. The order for last season is a bit late in arriving but good news - it shouldn't be far away. Stay tuned and wait until you see the socks. Wowee indeed.

2. We ARE playing on public holiday Monday 9 March 2026. Game times will be released ASAP. Please urgently DM us below or contact Secretary Stef directly if this is an issue for your team.

3. And last but not least, a quick story. Japanese soccer fans have a long-established tradition of cleaning up stadiums after their team has played, including at the 2022 World Cup when the world was stunned at what they did. We shouldn't be stunned - it should be how we all act and strive to leave the world a bit better than how we found it. Last Monday night, the St Clair stadium was left in a right ol' state and when we last checked, we're all adults (or for those under 18, you will be one day). Please pick up after yourself and even more, be like the Japanese soccer fans and pick up after others too. Let's leave an impression and unlike last Monday, make it a good one. Thank you.

With opening night approaching, Round 1 schedules are now live. Please make sure your players are registered using the below link.

Also, if you are nominating a team manager for a team they need to register as a non-playing member using the same link. We can then assign them to the appropriate team and they will be able to pre-fill the iPad from the basketball connect app on their phones. Typically this becomes available 30 minutes prior to game start.
