Huge Congratulations to Hi‑Lites Mixed Player, Phoenix Barrett!

Phoenix has been selected to represent Australia in the U17 AUS Team, travelling this coming July to compete in the Pacific Horizon Cup. An incredible achievement and a moment of real pride for Phoenix, his family and friends, and of course our club!!

As this is a self‑funded opportunity, Phoenix is raising money to help cover the costs of the trip. If our amazing Hi‑Lites community can chip in — big or small — it would mean the world. Every little bit truly helps.

Let’s get behind him and show our support for one of our own
💙💚🤍

💗 SUPPORTING BCNA THIS SATURDAY 💗

This Saturday our club is proud to support Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). We’re asking all players, coaches, and supporters to get involved by adding a splash of pink to your game day outfit!
Think pink hair ties, socks, ribbons, tape…. whatever you’ve got, wear it with pride and help us show our support for those impacted by breast cancer. 🎀🎗️

There will also be yummy Pink Treats for sale through the day, so be sure to bring some cash to help support this wonderful fundraising round.

Let’s come together as a club, raise awareness, and turn the courts pink! 💕

🏐 Meet The Coaches 🏐

….Is back for 2026!

This time it’s Tahlia Leepin, coach for Team Crystal… in the spotlight answering the hot questions we all want to know! 🔦

1. How long have you been a Hi-Lites player & or coach?
I have been a Hi-Lites player for 8 years now and this is my second year of coaching

2. If you weren’t coaching, what would you be doing instead?
If I wasn’t coaching I would most likely be at my dance studio for classes 🩰

3. Do you have any special or unusual rituals before a game?
I typically don’t have any special traditions before a game but I am always chanting the team chant before we go on for good luck!

4. What’s something the team would be surprised to learn about you?
Something the team would be surprised to learn about me is I spend most of my time at dance 13 hours a week

5. What’s your favourite position to play on court? Why?
My favourite position is for sure wing attack as i love how there is a link of attacking and defending in the position 💙

6. What’s your biggest ick (on or off the court)?
My biggest ick on court is when the game is just silent, I love to have the players always communicating so we have a good play

7. If the team described you in three words, what do you hope they’d say?
If the team described me I would hope they would say I’m Supportive, Competitive and fun

8. What’s your guilty pleasure TV show or comfort movie?
My favourite Tv show is definelty gossip girl I have probably re watched it 3 times all the way through!

9. Pineapple on pizza: yes or no? This could define your legacy… 🍍🍕
I would agree pineapple belongs on pizza but only for certain types of pizza!

10. If you could give any netballer your best bit of advice you’ve been given, what would it be?
The best bit of advice for netball i have been given is to not give up no matter if ur losing by a lot or winning no matter what the team the team should always still have some motivation!

Thanks a million Tahlia! ✨
Best of luck to you and Team Crystal for the remainder of the season 💙💚🤍
