Under bright blue skies , 150 players teed off at Gailes Golf Club on the 11th September in support of the " Bag Your Support for Survivors of Stroke " Charity Golf Day.

Golf day organiser Greg Frankish was very thankful for the support of the players. In his Presentation speech, he commented " these golf days do not happen without the support of the players."

He was also very thankful for his Major Sponsors :-

This very Special Golf Event will raise $ 8000 + for the Ipswich Hospital Stroke Unit.
This money will be used to buy new equipment which is invaluable to patient stroke recovery.

20 years ago Greg's dad Peter ( who is now deceased ) had a stroke. He was given a short term prognosis.
His mum Peggy became his carer. It is a testament to his mum with the support of the Ipswich Hospital Stroke Unit that his dad lived for another 17 years.

Greg has dedicated this Charity Golf Day to his parents....Peter & Peggy Frankish.
