Last weekend’s win over the ladder-leading Moss Vale was a special one, and moments after the final buzzer reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

After the game, little Freddie joined the boys in the change rooms to celebrate the win. Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and watching our players take the time to make a young fan feel part of the team was something pretty special.

This is what Wagga Heat basketball is all about.

It’s about community. It’s about inspiring the next generation. It’s about creating memories that last far longer than any result on the scoreboard.

To every supporter who fills the stands, travels to away games, wears our colours, and cheers on the boys week after week, thank you! Your support helps create moments like these.

🔥 WEEKEND WRAP 🔥

A huge Saturday night at home saw the Heat take down ladder leaders, Moss Vale, in front of our home crowd! 💪🧡💙

The boys brought the intensity from the opening tip and came away with an important win against one of the competition’s toughest sides.

Today we hit the road to take on Goulburn. Despite a determined effort, it wasn’t our day and we went down to the Bears.

A big thank you to everyone who supported us across the weekend, whether at PCYC or following along from afar.

We’ll take plenty of positives from the round and get back to work before returning home on 4 July. See you then! 🔥🏀

🔥 250 GAMES! 🔥👏

This weekend at home against St George, we celebrate a massive milestone for Wagga Heat player/coach, Zac Maloney, who will suit up for his 250th Basketball NSW Waratah League game 💙🧡

Zac first joined the Heat as a development player back in 2011 and has gone on to become one of the most decorated and respected figures in our program’s history.

From knocking down countless shots in the famous number 6 jersey, to leading from the sidelines, Zac’s impact on the Heat has been enormous, both on and off the court.

Now a 7-time Wagga Heat MVP, Zac has consistently been one of the league’s elite performers across more than a decade with the club. He was also a key part of the Heat side that reached the 2015 Championship game.

As if 250 games as a player wasn’t enough, Zac also notched up another incredible milestone this season, coaching his 100th State League game for the Heat 👏

His dedication, loyalty and leadership continue to shape the culture of our program, and we’re proud to celebrate everything he has contributed to Wagga Basketball.

🔥 50 GAMES 🔥

Today, our co-captain Brad Hiscock brings up his 50th game for the Wagga Heat in the Basketball NSW Waratah League 👏

Brad has become a key part of our program both on and off the court, leading by example every time he pulls on the Heat jersey. His commitment, resilience and leadership have made a huge impact on the group, and he has become a formidable leader within the team 🧡💙

50 games is a fantastic achievement and we’re proud to celebrate the milestone with him today.

A friendly reminder to all players, coaches and spectators about the standard of behaviour we expect at our games.

Referees are humans and may make mistakes! We couldn’t play the game we love without them.

Abuse of our wonderful referees will not be tolerated under any circumstances and we encourage anyone who witnesses abuse or disrespect to flag it with our Court Supervisors as soon as possible!

Court Supervisors at both representative and local games are easily identifiable, in fluorescent vests, courtside.

Please also remember, if your referee has a green whistle, they are U18 and are not to be approached under any circumstances!

We always encourage coaches and spectators to cheer for their team, however please keep all cheering and commentary respectful of all involved in the game, including the opposing team.
