It's Queensland Historic Titles week!

We have it on reliable authority that there is still time to get a late entry in for the 2026 Australian Historic Road Racing Championship.

Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Tasmania, and New Zealand: $550 per competitor
Victoria: $500 per competitor
South Australia: $450 per competitor
Example: Three competitors sharing transport from QLD will receive a total rebate of $1,650.

🔊 Sean’s Aussie Sidecar Story 🔊

Passion for sidecars is not reserved just for those who race them and Sean Kelly is a prime example of this, as the organiser of the Annual Sidecar and Enthusiast Rally held in New South Wales for 41 years now.

We chat about the event, which is coming up on September 26 to 28 in O’Connell, and how Sean was introduced to the three wheeled mode of transport.

We then discuss his time racing sidecars which started out as sidecar cross, then he gave dirt track a go before taking to the road. He even gives us yet another previously uncovered style of sidecar racing, sharing about his experience trying for Australian land speed records on salt plains.

Passion for sidecars isn't reserved for racing alone, there are plenty of three wheeling fans who take to the open road!
Later this month there is an event for anyone who loves life on three wheels. If you are up for some stories around the campfire, a lap around Mount Panorama, and just a generally good time, then the Annual Sidecar & Enthusiast Rally is for you!

There have been so many beautiful tributes flowing for our fellow sidecar enthusiast Lyn who sadly passed away yesterday.

There really aren't words to comprehend when something like this happens.
But the sidecar community is here to support one another as we process it.

Our thoughts are with Tez, Lyn's family, friends, fellow competitors, everyone who was at The Bend yesterday, the crews who responded and did all they could, and anyone else who has been touched by this tragedy.

When I woke up on Sunday morning to the sad news of Farres Fadhill's passing in Malaysia, I never could've predicted that within a few short hours we would be facing such enormous grief on our own doorstep.

I feel lost for words, but I'll do my best.

What a treasure Lyn was. She was the kind of woman that made me go, "I want to be like her when I grow up." An adventurous, confident, tiny powerhouse with a gentle soul and not a shred of ego. She was as beautifully kind as she was inspiring, and I will miss her presence dearly.

Lyn was a Pit Lane Studio superfan - and proudly so. She took every opportunity to remind me how much she loved her photos. If Lyn wasn't reminding me, Tez was passing on the message on her behalf. She stuck Pit Lane Studio stickers all over their sidecar, and when they got a new sidecar, she was very excited to show me that it too, had Pit Lane Studio stickers. She took the business of boosting my self-esteem very seriously. She asked for nothing in return.

I feel honoured to have watched her flourish on the sidecar over the past few years. It's a cliché, but she truly did leave us while doing what she loved.

I'm totally heartbroken.
