An interesting day clearing a fence line that my Father an Grandfather erected in about 1960 it was the southern boundary along the Springs Rd Greymare for both their properties ...this fence would be 61years old an a lot of the narrow leaf ironbark posts were in very good condition . A lot of time reflecting on two hard working men that only ever knew of axes , Crosscut saws, crowbar an shovel an brace an bit . Dad had told me some years ago about this fence he an his father would head up the mountain paddock after milking with the old horse an cart fall an split some posts load 12 in the cart an dig ,stand an bore them on the way home than milk that afternoon not a bad effort considering it was all done by hand ... it’s always good to go back an work around Greymare... lots of memories 😃😃👍
