How can creating a card deck make you the recognized authority behind your own intuition? Woo Wednesday welcomes Renee McDonald, author of the Prime Matches™ Card Deck, for a conversation about intuitive authority. In this episode:• Why turning intuitive insight into a card deck changes the way people see your expertise• What it takes to create a tool that others can use in many different ways• How symbols and images can carry your message to people who have never met youIf you work with tarot, oracle cards, or any other form of intuitive guidance, you already carry a language of your own. Renee McDonald, an author and integrative coach with more than two decades of experience, created the Prime Matches™ Card Deck as a therapeutic and personal growth tool with many uses for the people who purchase it. Her work centers on post-traumatic growth and on empowering people with hope and healing to move forward. She joins Crystal Lynn to explore how authoring a deck gives your intuition a visible form and makes you the person others seek out. This conversation is part of our week on authorship, where each guest shows how creating something with your name on it builds authority that clients recognize. If you want your years of intuitive practice to count in a way that people can hold in their hands, this episode shows you where that begins.🦋 Crystal Lynn Bell is a Spiritual Business Mentor who helps heart-centered women coaches and spiritual healers nail their messaging, marketing, and infrastructure so they attract consistent clients and income. She works with women coaches who have accumulated significant insight and experience but are missing the infrastructure that brings consistent income. For 24 years, I’ve worked alongside people navigating pain, grief, trauma, relationship breakdown, growth, meaningful change, and loss—supporting them to heal, move, grow and recover.

I’ve been working on bringing that learning into a product I’ve thought deeply about: something practical that my fellow humans and colleagues can use to understand themselves, work through challenges and find their way forward.

My hope is that it will help people feel more equipped in everyday life, support recovery, and make self-learning and self-growth more accessible—perhaps reducing how much therapy - or coaching - that they need along the way.

This creation also comes from some very painful experiences of my own. I know what it has taken from within to get my train tracks aligned again: to find my direction, rebuild trust in myself and keep moving towards a life I want to live.

Those experiences have deepened my belief that even after profound upheaval, there can be a way forward. We can discover new possibilities within ourselves, sometimes when we least expect them.

So much of what I’ve learned, lived and practised is finding its way into this creation. It holds both my professional experience and my heart.

Today, we were finalising things. The website is currently under construction, and over the next week or two, I’ll be sharing the big reveal.

I’m looking forward to putting this into your hands. 🦋

There is an ancient Inuit story about a woman called Sedna.

There are many versions of her story, but in one telling she finds herself in a raging sea, clinging desperately to the side of her father’s boat.

Instead of pulling her to safety, her father cuts away the fingers with which she is holding on.

Sedna falls.

And falls.

Until eventually she reaches the bottom of the ocean.

But this isn’t where her story ends.

Her severed fingers become the creatures of the sea. And the woman who was cast into the depths eventually becomes the powerful keeper of an entire underwater world.

I have been thinking about Sedna.

Not because I believe suffering automatically makes us stronger. Sometimes being cast out makes people weaker. Sometimes separation leaves people frightened, dependent or unsure of themselves. Sometimes people remain underwater for a very long time.

And sometimes the person falling isn’t the only person transformed by the fall.

Families can experience events in completely different ways. One person believes they escaped. Another believes someone they love disappeared beneath the water. Others stand on the shoreline telling competing versions of what happened.

Eventually, though, there comes a different question.

Not:

Who gets to own the story?

But:

How do we find one another again?

Perhaps resolution doesn’t require everybody to agree about the storm.

Perhaps it begins when we stop asking people to choose sides.

When nobody has to surrender their experience as the price of relationship.

When another person’s hand is no longer something to push away, grip desperately, control or cut loose.

It can simply be a hand held out.

No demand.

No forced interpretation.

No requirement to come home.

Just:

I’m here.

If you ever want to find your way toward me, there is still a way.

Maybe some relationships are repaired not by returning to the world that existed before the storm, but by creating an entirely new place where two people can meet.

And perhaps that is what comes after the deep.
