Wynnum Manly Touch Association is calling for Expressions of Interest from both players and coaches for our 2027 Junior Representative Program! 💙

Whether you’re ready to represent the Eagles on the field or want to help develop the next generation of players we’d love to hear from you!

📅 Emerging Eagles Clinic – Saturday 17 October 2026
👧 Girls: 11:30am–1:00pm
👦 Boys: 1:30pm–3:00pm

📅 Rep Trial 1 – Saturday 14 November 2026

Players must be available for the Emerging Eagles Clinic, selection trials, weekly Saturday training, compulsory carnivals and Junior State Cup in Rockhampton

🧑‍🏫 COACH COMMITMENT

Coaches must be available for the Emerging Eagles Clinic, selection trials, coaching development workshop, weekly Saturday training, compulsory carnivals and Junior State Cup in Rockhampton

A Foundation Coach qualification is required, or coaches must be willing to complete the course facilitated at Wynnum.

🏉 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – RUGBY BBQ 🌭

We’re looking for volunteers to help out at the Wynnum Bugs Rugby BBQ on Saturday, 31 October!

This is a great opportunity for the club to raise some extra money, and the more helpers we have, the easier it will be for everyone. 🙌

💰 $50 per hour paid to volunteers

🏉 OUR FIRST COACHES SKILLS CLINIC! 🏉

A fantastic morning at Wynnum Manly Touch as we held our very first Coaches Skills Clinic!
We’re incredibly lucky to have so many people willing to give their time to help develop our players and make our club the best it can be.

A special thank you to all of the volunteers who helped organise and run the clinic. These events simply wouldn’t happen without people putting their hands up and giving their time behind the scenes.

This is just the beginning, and we’re looking forward to running more opportunities like this for our coaches and volunteers throughout the season.

🔵 IMPORTANT: TOUCH FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA BLUE CARD POLICY UPDATE

Touch Football Australia has introduced a new Blue Card Policy to strengthen child safeguarding across Touch Football.

The key changes include:

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Coaches & Managers
Parents, guardians and close relatives who coach or manage junior teams are now required to hold a Blue Card or Exemption Card, regardless of any exemptions that may apply under state legislation.

🏉 Adult Referees
All adult referees, including referee coaches, mentors, assessors and presenters, are required to hold a Blue Card or Exemption Card under the Policy.

✅ Verification is Required
Simply providing a Blue/Exemption Card number is not enough. Organisations must verify clearances through the Blue Card Services Organisation Portal or the Blue Card Services online card validation tool and maintain appropriate records.

Please ensure you are familiar with these requirements and have the appropriate clearance in place if you are involved in coaching, managing or refereeing junior Touch Football.
