Foundation Mare | Yalambi's Fendi
What started with admiring a beautiful mare, turned into a breeding program.
When I first saw Fendi jumping, I recognised something special. Her athleticism, attitude and quality inspired a new direction for KTL Stud. I wasn't looking to purchase a broodmare but when the opportunity arose in 2018, I couldn't pass it up.
At the time her two previous progeny were still quite young but have since gone to do impressive things. Yalambi's J'Adore won the 7yo DJWTS in 2021 and jumped competitively to 1.40m, while Yalambi's Key Largo continues to compete up to 1.50m with Amelia Douglass.
Fendi comes from a very successful mare line; she has multiple siblings who have competed up to 1.40m+ and her full sister, Yalambi's Dior, has produced 3 offspring that have been successful from 1.40m up to 1.55m level.
Going further back, Fendi's maternal grandmother, Lady, was full sister to the licenced 1.60m stallion Wellington. She also produced three 1.40m+ showjumpers. Some of Lady's other granddaughters have even produced Grand Prix dressage horses! A testament to the athleticism and rideability of this mare line.
Fendi has produced 5 foals for us here at KTL Stud with the oldest being 5 years of age, we are very excited for their futures.
We also have our very first Fendi grandchild due in 7 weeks 😍😍
