This new video is about our very first bike packing trip - planned to follow the route from Porto to Lisbon/Portugal in December 2023 (which we already did sailing, with our first VAST in 2015). In this video we test ourselves. We test our bikes. We test our gear and our packing skills. We test our strategy (e.g. booking all accommodation in advance - not recommended!). Did we like it? For all of you who haven't heard yet: we're in Aruba! Quite bling bling at places for us tourists 😁

Our life is also the decision to face the separation from loved ones and to exchange the easy path for the demanding one again and again. We face circumstances and rules that we cannot change, like wind, waves and weather and whatever else we find on new shores to sail to.

To discover, to stay curious, to learn by stepping out of our comfort zone, to meet people from all over the world; dealing with all kinds of new things along the way - that's what keeps us afloat! And maybe our curiosity and the energy that we gain in our lives can also be found in the diverse interests that enrich our lives, sometimes with more, sometimes with less focus.
