Need: Schedule Hard ball indoor cricket Practice session, coming weekend.
Hi. Salam.
I need to inform you guys, one Scottish cricket club shows intent to play a Hard Ball Cricket Match with us in Azerbaijan (expected in Oct 2026). But, it depends upon if we establish some hard ball cricket team, find some cricket ground, and arrange artificial pitch. Good news is, there was some flicx artificial pitch with TISA (The International School of Azerbaijan) a long time ago. I am trying to locate this pitch. If we found that artificial pitch, we can definitely play with that Scottish cricket club. But, on this weekend, we would be scheduling indoor hard ball cricket session. So that we can form a Professional cricket team in Azerbaijan. Those are interested and living in Azerbaijan, please comment and inbox me their details.

Cricket Insights 2025 -----
We are a bunch of expats from Pakistan, India, and Srilanka playing cricket from last 2 years in Azerbaijan. Our goal is to represent Azerbaijan in International Cricket Council (ICC) initially as Associate member and then as a Full member. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has around 12 Full Members and 94 Associate Members. Azerbaijan neighbouring counties Iran and Turkey are ICC Associate member, while Georgia and Russia have cricket federation, but they are not associate members yet.
We have established social media platform to promote Cricket in Azerbaijan. We have organised two Tape ball cricket tournament in Azerbaijan. We have around 50 players registered with us. But, our goal is to start hard ball cricket in Azerbaijan at professional level. We have hard ball cricket kit, but we don’t have any proper ground where we can play. We have also communicate with Regional Development Manager for ICC Europe, but they said there should be some cricket federation which is owned by the Government and then ICC can communicate and fund them officially to promote cricket.
Our request to government is establish Azerbaijan Cricket Federation and allocate some cricket ground where we can play and represent Azerbaijan like other sports.
