Another great, fun session last night with 24 players hitting the courts! 🙌🏾

Players got plenty of competitive match play while also having their results logged directly into the World Tennis Number (WTN) portal. 🌍🎾

That is what Round Robin Fridays is all about! 🔥

It is that time again for Barbados’ top junior players to battle for the title of National Champion! 🏆

From Under 10 Green Ball through to Under 18, the Junior Nationals are an opportunity to compete against the best locally, earn valuable ranking points and showcase your readiness for the next level.

Participation in the Junior Nationals forms part of the BTA National Team Selection Criteria and is required for consideration for national selection.

💰 THE 500 ✈️
There is even more to play for in 2026! Each Singles Category Champion (U12 - U18) will receive a BBD $500 travel allowance towards participation in an approved COTECC or ITF international tournament.

Team Barbados is in Trinidad & Tobago for the 2026 ITF/COTECC U12 Team Competition Sub Region 4, taking place at the National Racquet Sports Centre in Tacarigua.

The competition gets underway this weekend, with Barbados’ young players taking on teams from across the Caribbean for a place in the ITF/COTECC U12 Team Final.

A fantastic week for Cruz Thornton and Liam Cave at the U14 COTECC Suriname Tennis Cup!

Cruz captured his first COTECC singles title, defeating fellow Barbadian Liam Cave in an all-Bajan final. 🇧🇧🎾

The pair then joined forces in the doubles and went all the way, claiming the doubles title together! 🏆

The victory marks Cruz’s 3rdn COTECC doubles title, while Liam celebrates his first COTECC doubles title.

Congratulations Cruz and Liam on an outstanding tournament and for flying the Barbados flag high in Suriname! 🇧🇧

The Barbados National Tennis Senior Games action returns to the Raymond Forde National Tennis Centre from August 23 – September 5, 2026 with categories for Men & Ladies 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+ and Mixed Doubles 40+.

Barbados has secured its first ever tennis medal at a major multi-sport Games, with our men's doubles team advancing to the gold medal match at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

This historic achievement guarantees Barbados its first tennis medal at the CAC Games, Pan American Games, or Olympic Games.

The final will be no easy task. Our boys face a determined El Salvador team that stunned the tournament by defeating the top-seeded Colombians in the semifinals.

We wish Team Barbados the very best as they look to turn this historic medal into gold. 🇧🇧🎾

A big day for Barbados at the CAC Games!

Stephen Slocombe and Kaipo Marshall produced an outstanding performance to defeat the No. 4 seeded Mexican pair 7-6(5), 6-3, booking their place in the Tennis Men's Doubles Semifinals.

The victory keeps Barbados in medal contention, with the pair now just one win away from the gold medal match.

In the Tennis Women's Doubles quarterfinals, Gabrielle Leslie and Hannah Chambers were defeated by the No. 2 seeded Mexican team. Their run to the quarterfinals was a commendable effort against a strong field.

Congratulations to Stephen and Kaipo as they continue their impressive campaign. Barbados will be cheering you on in the semifinals! 🥇 🥈 🥉
