Alexa Bliss Has Been Pulled From Money In The Bankâ
â
â
On Raw this Monday, Alexa Bliss didnât take part in the Fatal Four-Way between that brandâs Money in the Bank ladder match participants âshe let her new friend Nikki Cross take her place because the airline supposedly lost her gear on the way to the UK. At the end of that match, however, it was Alexa that climbed the ladder and took the briefcase after Nikki won. When that happened, I think we all expected Alexa to take part in the ladder match, with possible interference from Nikki. Unfortunately, WWE announced today that Alexaâs been removed from the match because sheâs not medically cleared to compete.
Hereâs the full statement from WWE:
âAlexa Bliss is not medically cleared to compete at WWE Money in the Bank this Sunday, and has been removed from the Womenâs Money in the Bank Ladder Match. A suitable replacement for Alexa will be announced.â
This raises questions about Alexaâs ongoing medical status, considering that for most of the past of the past year she seems to not wrestle for long periods and wrestle a match or two, only to be taken back out of the ring. Hopefully whatever is going on is something she can recover from.
As for the ladder match, Nikki Cross seems like the obvious replacement for Alexa, but until they officially announce it, itâs impossible to say for sure.

The Miz On WrestleMania Feud With John Cena & Nikki Bella, Superstar Shake-Upâ
â
â
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz recently did an interview with Sportskeeda. Here are the highlights.
One of the reasons there was such interest in your feud with John Cena and Nikki Bella was because no one knew where the line was being drawn between fiction and reality. Where do you feel a performer has to draw the line between whatâs real and whatâs not?
âI just go out there and do whatever it takes to make the audience believe in what Iâm doing and if it needs to get personal, itâll get personal. Sometimes you donât need that. I mean, between John & Nikki and Maryse and myself, there was a lot of backstory. And so it helped us out during that program. And it worked. It got people invested and it got people talking.â
Since 2016, youâve jumped brands every time thereâs been a Superstar Shake-Up? How do you feel about switching back and forth every year? Do you feel like it always leads to unfinished business?
âIn the superstar shake-up, Iâve switched brands every time. I think Iâm the only superstar to do that. And it just goes to show that every brand wants me and thatâs a nice feeling. However, whenever I switch to the other brand, I feel like Iâm on the verge of becoming WWE or Universal Champion or Iâm in an upwards trajectory where I feel Iâm doing good and Iâm on my groove, and then I get switched.
Whenever you get switched to a new show, it kind of ruffles those feathers. It ruffles that upward trajectory, that upward plan. Then you have to basically prove yourself each and every time. And Iâm not one of those guys thatâs been given everything or thrown things my way. I have to work for everything and itâs just one of those things. Iâm not a guy that gets looked at like that. So I have to work for it and I have to prove myself each and every time even though I donât feel like I need to. I feel like Iâm one of the best out there.â

Kevin Owens Had Surgery On Both Of His Kneesâ
â
â
Weâve known for a week now that Kevin Owens was taking time off from wrestling for knee surgery, which was why Bobby Lashley beat him up so badly on last weekâs Raw. Now that the surgery has apparently happened, Owens revealed via his Twitter account that itâs more serious than we previously suspected.
It seems Kevin has had surgery not just on one knee, but on both. Itâs extremely in character, by the way, to reveal this detail with a deadpan joke. One might conclude that this news means the reports from last week that his injury wasnât that serious and he wouldnât be out for long were underselling his situation. As of this writing, thereâs no announced timetable for when we can expect to see him back on WWE. Itâs possible heâll return alongside his best friend Sami Zayn, who has been out since June for double rotator cuff surgeries.
Itâs impossible to look at KOâs body of work since arriving in WWE and not see a guy whoâs pushed himself nonstop for a long time, and seems like he could use a break, even if double knee surgery is far from the ideal vacation. In the meantime, Owensâ always-entertaining energy will be missed on WWE programming.
