Geology and Mining Cricket Team kicked off their campaign in style with a thrilling victory over Marketing XI in their opening group-stage match!💥

Batting first, Marketing XI posted a competitive total of 136/8 in 14 overs. Dipu led the charge with a solid 40 off 34 balls, while Nahidul Islam added 18. Despite some quick contributions from the middle order, the innings lost momentum due to regular wickets. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗮𝗲𝗯
was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 3 crucial wickets, well supported by 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗺, 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗿𝗶𝗳, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗻 with one wicket each. ❤️

In response, Geology & Mining chased down the target confidently, scoring 140/7 in just 12.3 overs. 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗯𝘆
played a blistering knock of 21 off just 7 balls, while 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 (18) and 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗹 (24) kept the innings steady. The real finishing touch came from 𝗞 𝗠 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗺, who remained unbeaten on 27 off 11 balls, sealing the victory in style.💥

A clutch victory for our team as we edged past CSE Warriors in a thrilling contest! 💪❤️

Batting first, we posted a competitive 140/6 (12 over), powered by a blazing Sadman Sadique (45 off 19) and a captain’s finish from Shoaeb (34 off 16)*, with valuable support from the middle order.

In reply, CSE Warriors fought hard, led by Ashik Khan (49), but a disciplined bowling effort kept things in control. Tasrif starred with the ball (3 wickets), while Saiful Islam and Shoaeb chipped in to restrict them to 138/7.

A complete team effort under pressure and a well-deserved win!🔥 Kudos to the bowlers and fielders for holding their nerves and deliver 🫶

Chasing 103, Geology & Mining made it look clinical, finishing at 105/7 in just 10 overs.

Earlier, Mathematics BU posted 102/8 in 12 overs. The Geology bowling attack was relentless — Shoaeb and Anas each claimed 2 wickets, while Tasrif was the pick of the bowlers with a miserly economy of 4.67, conceding just 14 runs in 3 overs. 🎯
