ঢাকায় এসেছি ব্র্যাক আয়োজিত Frugal Innovation Forum অনুষ্ঠানে কথা বলতে।

ডা. রিচার্ড ক্যাশ (সিনিয়র লেকচারার, হার্ভার্ড স্কুল অফ পাবলিক হেলথ), ডা. মোরশেদা চৌধুরী (পরিচালক, ব্র্যাক এইচএনপিপি) এবং আমি আলোচনা করেছি মহামারির সময়ে আমাদের এই অঞ্চলগুলোতে যে উদ্ভাবন ও পদক্ষেপগুলো ভালো কাজ করেছে। আর ভবিষ্যতের স্বাস্থ্য সংকটে কিভাবে এই শিক্ষাগুলো কাজে লাগানো যেতে পারে।

Visiting Dhaka to speak at BRAC's Frugal Innovation Forum.

Dr. Richard Cash (Senior Lecturer at Harvard School of Public Health), Dr. Morseda Chowdhury (Director of BRAC HNPP), and I spoke about some of the innovations and best practices of pandemic response from a public health perspective.

Professor Sabina Faiz Rashid (Dean of BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health) moderated the discussion.

Here are my two key takeaways from the event:
1. Collaboration across different sectors can catalyse innovation and help solve problems at scale. The way public and private entities came together during the pandemic can be a blueprint for the future.
2. We must consider the needs of marginalised and vulnerable people while designing solutions. We cannot truly move forward if we leave them behind.
